I would like to have only purple lums for now.

Implementing lockjaw and power cans in general is separate issue in development that I would need to overcome somehow. One thing at a time.

Also I would like to refine the usage aspects of superpower cans - you could use them anywhere, as long as you have powder left, and disable power ups at will.

Cans powder you could buy for points at Teensies Stores, find in the hub worlds and levels in chests and gain via killing the enemies.

But if anything, I would opt for having both purple lums and the metal rings that you could swing on only when having blue power can activated.

I suppose both purple lums and flying hooks would look different but behave the same?

Couldn't this system of buying powder for power-ups at a store be detrimental to gameplay if they were required to access the next area (think swing from a hook to cross a chasm or break a door)? I feel that it would significantly break the pace to run out of powder and have to look for the closest Teensie store, and what if you ran out of points too?

We could introduce special variants of superpower cans that would function like in Rayman 3 - so that you cannot collect them from place they are, and you can optionally 'gain' power from them at will when standing next to them.

So essentially I.e. buying much powder for yellow can for instance would allow speedrunning in some sense

Yeah the name has changed because we decided to direct more dark R2-like tone for the game, add more mysticism etc :) expand on Knaarens thread, Leptys etc

how is planned the construction of the levels, is like Rayman 3 that the levels are a full world in parts, or is planned different?

This kind of reminds of unofficial fangames from Sony Media Moleculeโ€™s Dreams PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 exclusive OpenSource Rayman fangame of old Ubisoft indie game from in the past since circa Anno Domini of year of 1990โ€™s.

Welcome to this place Unheard, and thanks for sharing the latest news! I agree that it looks really good. I'm curious about those rings too, it seems as though Rayman can swing from a different distance depending on how far he tethers to them from?

yes he can, though there's lum swinging radius correction implemented, so it eventually collapses to maximal allowed value for given purple lum in the scene for gameplay purposes :)

Wow, I had no idea this project dated back so far! Progress seems to have really accelerated as of late though, it's looking better and better with each scene! :up:
