Re: Mac or PC?
Yes well, freedom is sacrificed in order for things to run smoother I suppose, and for me this is just fine most of the time (except when I wanted to uninstall Logic)
The best thing about Macs I think, is the fact that the software and hardware are designed together, allowing them to work hand in hand beautifully.

I could as well say I like Wii's Nintendo games because software and hardware is designed together.
Honestly, old Macs were interesting, but current ones from my viewpoint are simply slick PCs with slick UI under slick OS. User-friendliness... well, all flavours of Linux and Windows I tried were more normal (even one Linux thing without taskbar) than only Macbook I tried.

Are you suggesting that the Nintendo made Wii games aren't the best ones? :Ostan423321 wrote:I could as well say I like Wii's Nintendo games because software and hardware is designed together.

No, although there are some others which are on similar level. They may make worse use of hardware, but they have something N did not do, like really unique gameplay concepts.MrBadGuy wrote:Are you suggesting that the Nintendo made Wii games aren't the best ones? :Ostan423321 wrote:I could as well say I like Wii's Nintendo games because software and hardware is designed together.

Re: Mac or PC?
I'm going to be honest, I'm more hooked in the PCs. I tried to use my mother's Mac, the graphics are excellent, a lot of memory, nice design....But it's SO DIFFERENT from Windows, I got totally lost while using it. Like, I wasn't EVEN abble to find the USB key I plugged it in!
I think it's mostly a matter of habit. If you are used since years to Windows, stay to windows. At least, that's my main opinion.

I'm not used to Macs either. I remember in the 2nd cicle of school, somewhere in the 6th grade, the school library only used Macs. It was challenging trying to find the programs I needed to do my works.

In my current school, the "Gentoo Cult Club" has once forced everyone to use Gentoo on school PCs, and everybody started to buy laptops. Then, they decided to return to dual boot solution.

Re: Mac or PC?
I prefer the PC any day it is much more easier to use and above all it gets the job done...........FAST! I just voted for the "ironic penguin thing" because it sounded wierd
Re: Mac or PC?
I'm not saying that people here are doing this, but what really gets on my nerves is when people say that using Windows is easier, when what they really mean is that they're used to using Windows and they don't like the change. I'm fairly certain that beginners find Mac's much easier, in my experience at least.

Re: Mac or PC?
I vote for... hackintosh!
I use PC - Win XP (I know that's very old, but I don't have problems with that one as often, as I did (had?) with Vista or Win7), but before WinXP and Ubuntu (I really don't mind Linux stuff, they send OS discs for free and, hey, stickers! 8D ). Propably I'll never be able to afford Macintosh in my life :C but I used it few times, and I liked it alot.

A very balanced and reasonable statement.Louvis wrote:I vote for... hackintosh!

Re: Mac or PC?
So I'm pretty much the only dude here who likes Macs over PCs. I'm kinda disappointed.
