Well there's rooms to use now, good work!
I've got the needed files you've posted recently and the tiles too.

The list of errors is almost gone as well, only two sounds and their resources are still missing;

Was I supposed to download the unused sfx you've posted around the thread as well Ray?
I kinda ignored anything that was unused or a preview since I'm mostly focused on grabbing the files relating to the developing game itself. They'll probably be packaged in later, right?

The two unused sounds were changed up to fix the grammar mistakes. I assume the folders are still there. I’ll need to check them. And yes, they’ll be packaged in later.

Hmm, maybe if I rename them to their original names, maybe it’ll help.

Having looked at the sounds the lum one was indeed missing, and the enemy death sound was under an older name. I got rid of the old version and put the new version into the folder if that's ok.

Now to finally give it a test run! :mryellow:

Despite having all the resources loaded correctly, it's only Rayman idling in a black void...
But any progress is good progress!

The title pic, tileset, and background are not present, though I tried to add them with no luck. I'm not sure why GM can't find them, even if I put them in correctly named folders. :mefiant:

Oh, I think I know what’s wrong. It’s probably an older version of the game you’re using. I could try to send over the latest save, but I’m worried all the errors will come back.

Maybe a zipped folder containing both the new version and assets all together would do the trick? I could always trash or replace the older stuff if it'd been altered for the new one.

I plan to zip the new save with the new assets. I had to install an update for GM Studio 2 an hour ago, too. Currently getting the new assets set up.

So what of the older assets? Should I hold on to them, assuming the old and new are being mixed? Unless the new assets are all new and meant to replace all of the older assets.

Yup, it’s best to replace them as all the assets are new.

It never once crossed my mind that I should make a zip of the project folder in the GM Studio 2 folder…everything would be there and wouldn’t require separate zips.



I’ll get to it soon.

Well, I deleted all the old stuff and unzipped the new asset folder in its' place.
No loading or clean up errors! :up:

I noticed there's a few sprites just hanging around in the bottom of the sidebar though, outside of any folders. Is that anything to be concerned about or is that normal?

Also, I'm trying to run the game itself right now after applying some code, and for the life of me, I can't figure out what's wrong.

This was the compile error I got:

"Object: ORayman_idle0 Event: Step at line 26 : got '' expected '}'

And this was the line the error is from:

"y += ySpeed;"

Yes, I tried placing the '}' key in the line, but that doesn't do anything for me.

Never mind, got the error fixed, but now Rayman is stuck in his running animation and nothing else. Sometimes his frames glitch, sometimes he drops through the floor and an Electoon is dancing/ Reesie is throwing her fist.

I don’t know what I did wrong in his code.
