And yeah, I do plan to animate more - I've always had a keen interest in animation and creative writing since I was a little toddler! I'm hoping I can improve over time and I'm pressing on while ignoring Newgrounds noobs. Yeah, it's a tough job

I've just sent LightningLion an email, and now all I'm waiting for is a reply with feedback. I'll post updates on the whereabouts of my flash short when they come

Will we get to see the flash short before Rayman Randimation IV is done? Or is it going to be exclusive to Randimation?

Well it really depends. I don't even know if it's going to get accepted for Randimation as is it yet! Like I said before though, if it doesn't get on there, it will still be on the internet, just as a solo flash

I'm still waiting the reply, but I don't know how regularly he checks his email, so I'll have to wait and see

Just in case there was anybody interested who didn't know already (I already brought this up on another, unrelated topic), I am working on another Rayman short!

I have already started a bit on the actual animation although there isn't much to show from it as of yet (seriously, it's just half finished animation of some background characters on a white background ).

Will report back with more information when I have it, but I can't think of much more to say right now - so yay and such!

Like I said, I am happy to give ideas!!

I really have absolutely no idea why both of my Rayman Flash Shorts (not including the one with Rayman on the cloud) have The Musician's Child in it...

Also, who bets within a few minutes of having posted this, the picture will be replaced with the word 'Image' causing everyone to say 'where is the image Electoon? You uploaded it wrong'?

The problem with PostImage.net is that the images have a dynamic URL, so every few minutes the URL changes. Fortunately, your browser is able to redirect you to the proper URL if you enter a previous one. Unfortunately, you can't redirect a submitted image's URL to a new one, as message boards only usually use BBcode. If that were possible with BBcode, it would create some very serious security flaws.

Because that baby is so freaky yet so sort of adorable, and isn't recognised by enough people as an actual background character from Rayman 1.

Seriously having so much problems with image hosting these days! Tinypic always gives me the 'Upload Failed', Postimage and Forum Code is a bad combo, images uploaded on Googlesites stop being viewable when I've logged out (despite the fact the website I've made for them is public ) and I just don't like image uploading sites you have to join up for.

Yes, this short is back to life again, with thanks to Rayfan for sending me Rayman's lines this morning . All that is needed now voice acting wise is a voice for The Musician, who is also in this short. Rayfan's already agreed to take on the role if no-one else wants to, but I thought it would be fair if I gave everyone else on here a chance and see if anyone else wants to do it.

So basically, if anyone wants to play The Musician (and has a working microphone, to put that awkwardness behind us ) - let me know and I'll PM you the lines.

I kind of wish there was a way of updating the first page or the topic title with the new information now!

It's good to be able to do some Rayman flash animation again - it gives me something else to do in between my epic 30 page long comic of non-Rayman-ness (that's a word now), which has been taking up all my time. With the Summer hols coming up in a couple of weeks, I'll have time to juggle with both

For some reason this has now super-excited me. Could you also give me some kind of reference to work with? Maybe then I can more clearly fill in the role. It doesn't have to be much - maybe just the lines of the other characters or a picture depicting the scene it's played out in.

I'll happily send you anything that you think will help you with the performance. The setting of the short is pretty familiar as it's based on a sequence from Rayman 1 (and also I've only animated foreground stuff at the moment, so I have little to show background wise ), but I can always show you my model sheet for The Musician, as I know Rayfan likes to base their voices on my art style . Does that sound good?
