I was SO happy to see
Rayman 3: Havoc Reignited during
Rayman Alive, and happier to have a demo to try it! I already launched it several times!
And it’s so good! It takes me back to 2003, and it reminds me when I played the original game over and over to improve my score!
Graphics are gorgeous and full of details, even in areas you’re just supposed to cross without stopping. I really enjoyed walking in the small lake in front of the Council, under the light of this big moon with detailed craters!
It's SO nice to include multiple languages for menus and dubbing! My big thanks to all team! I tried the English and the French ones. It was kinda weird to see a version of
Rayman 3 with lip-sync and character movements based on the English dub (the exact opposite of the original version), but French voices are mostly synchronized, except a few sentences cut at the beginning (for example when Murfy rushes toward André and when he sees André escaping the fairies room).
Almost no bug to report, the game runs correctly.
Sometimes it doesn't start with an endless black screen, sometimes it crashes with a fatal error when I try to start it. But when I click on the launcher again, it usually works.
I also had a freeze during a cinematic when André rushes toward Globox, and Murfy doing an endless T-pose on the pillar after the “
Rayman 4 cutscene”.
Differences with the original game are enjoyable.
Additional Matuvus, new score system with different points to collect in each part and chronometer, more dangerous enemy attacks, falling stalactites... It adds some challenge even if you know perfectly the original game!
Score summaries and loading screens replaced by playable areas were neat, and add some explanation to original story like how Globox, André and Murfy reached the Heart of the World room (where you can die by jumping inside the Heart!

).
Options to change some gameplay elements like camera and how Rayman locks targets are pretty cool. Having the camera behind Rayman in the Piggybanks room changes everything!

Unfortunately, I could only try keyboard gameplay as I only have a "brandless" controller, I suppose game detects XBOX controller only.

Finally, the additional game modes were fun, though as Droolie said, only hardcore players will manage to complete them!

I couldn't pass the Raygnomes area in Time is Money, and only reached the river area in Absolute Havoc. Too many Slapdashes, Ninja Crabs... and evil snails!
Congrats for this demo and this amazing work, and all the best for the future of this fanremake!
(Way too long) PS: The "Classic Fairy" option is a nice answer for those who didn't liked the redesign of Mary Lou.

I like both personally.

Original Ludivs are cute with their round heads and "precious" manners, but I'm not disturbed to see among them a "nonconformist" one, with a more gothic style.
In fact, that's something I would expect to see in the 2003
Rayman 3, which had a coherent lore but also had this "teenage spirit" and liked to "deconsecrate" a little Rayman characters, with Sarcastic Murfy and Music Lover Teensies for example.
Now, some people didn't enjoy this kind of spirit in 2003, and there's still some in 2025. Some would say it's worst. But, hey, you can't please everyone (and shouldn't try to).
That said, I partially agree with Master concerning Ludiv style itself. The way they dress isn't a major issue, they can stay as they are, but they could be a little more cartoonish to fit with other characters. Like humans and humanoids we see in the
Rayman series. Ly, Betina, UbiArt Princesses, etc...
