I liked my story a little tiny eeny-weeny bit better but this is still epic enough XD

Hello, I'd like to help with ideas and concepts for your fanmade game. I like the idea for an ice stage, but I was thinking it could have a fire stage as well (the concept of fire and ice goes really well). The ice side could be like a tundra with snowy mountain, plus Rayman-type eskimos, polar bears, totems, igloos and glaciers. The boss could be a giant walrus. For the fire side, a lava volcano with sinking platforms, rocks, and dragons for enemies (with appearences similar to the Baby Dragons from Rayman Origins, except not wearing clothing are are larger, tougher and run on four legs.) They're attacks would be charging or breathing fire. If you like these suggestions, please let me know

Oh good god, I don't know if this was intentional, but aside from the outrageous enemies, that's pretty much a direct transcription of my Ice Volcano in Revenge of the Dark. Go take a look if you wish.

well, in Charter Legends we have the ATemple of the Freezing Fire, it's a sorta very high tower with a frozen fire in the middle, at the top of the tower you can find an special object (don't say wich object), reaching the top of the tower will be very difficult, but it's also a combination with Fire and Ice

Next very interesting project.
If Concept Artist is needed, it could be me-drawing is my strong point, imagination too, but modeling is thing which I'm going to start learning.

[Just FYI, this project hasn't been cancelled, I just want to get more experience with the whole 3d game making thing]

Are you sure you want to work with Unity? I've heard and read a lot of things about it recently from a few teams that have gotten decently far in their projects, and they've had to quit the engine due to it being so incredibly unstable, bloated and intensive when working with large projects, especially since Unity's graphics leave far, far too much to be desired.

Oh I didn't know this project . I'm too used of the "new messages" button in RPC. So lazy ...

This project looks really interesting. Of course, the hardest part many people face when they want to produce their own fan game is programming or using a game engine.

If you are used to Unity, then use it. But as said Ad', if you want to go further and make a big project on which you will probably spend a lot of time (i'm talking about years) CryEngine is maybe the best one to make a big thing...

No, I didn't say he should use CryEngine, I was just suggesting against Unity. There are plenty of other choices.

I've tried CryEngine, but there aren't enough Maya tutorials out there .. It's so confusing
I also don't know how make a platformer with it ... I mean ... it was designed to be an engine for shooters, and I'm a real noob at this.
Help would be ... appreciated.

(I'm completely new to this stuff)

Also - My computer is far too weak to handle CryEngine 3 ...

Eh... My computer has the "AMD Athlon II X4 620 Processor 2.60 GHz built inside. And about 6 Gigs of RAM (64 bits) , should it be able to run UDK properly?

And yep, that's plenty. Your Athlon is suspicious and you might want to update it for the sake of being modern. With six gigs of RAM though, you won't be running into any stability issues at all.
