When they were asked whether or not the page was official, they responded twice with:

I can't tell what they mean though. Do they mean that they're employees of SuperBot who would like to know the fans' opinions, or do they mean that they're fans who want to show the developers what the most popular characters are?

I noticed that earlier today, but I didn’t want to mention it for fear of endangering the wildly successful campaign thing we have going on here. If you think you’re confused now, check out this quote from a few days ago:

Maybe it’s somewhere in between? The person running the page could be a friend of one or more of the developers. It’s also pretty bizarre how they described Facebook’s mirror of the game’s Wikipedia article as ‘the original facebook page’.

Even if the page isn’t official (or semi-official), it could still influence Sony’s decisions as to which characters will be included in the game. They want people to shell out for this, and the general Facebook populace’s overwhelming support for Rayman will surely surprise and encourage them. Even if he’s not in the game, there’s always the possibility that he’ll be included in DLC (not to mention the inevitable sequels). His chances are definitely better than they would have been without our efforts at promotion.

They say in a comment that the producers will consider this page for their decisoìions...

They just posted a photograph of the developers. According to Google Images, it’is the only copy of the photo on the internet. Either this page is run by one of the developers, or it’s run by someone close to them.

The Wiki page for the game says it's due to release around late Q3 -- early Q4. Some claim it comes out this holiday. That means we need to keep this up for a few months.

Also, Rayman is 3 likes away from 200. Crash is creeping in however. He has 153.

I have to admit that this whole like race is getting interesting.

The fact that 153 vs 197 is considered "creeping in" is probably a testament to how well Rayman is doing. Also, he has 200 now. Esto!

And one other thing: Do you think we might have to start invading their other sources, like their blog? I want Rayman to be to this game what Sonic was to SSBB in terms of fan demand.

The first Rayman Origins trailer is easily the most popular Rayman-related video on YouTube. I’ve left the following comment on it:

Done. Let's hope those strategies work!

At this point we’re basically throwing strategies at the wall and hoping some of them stick. We need to spread the word on as many pages on as many sites as possible, but only where we can be sure the majority of those who will see it are Rayman fans (or rather, bigger fans of Rayman than they are of Crash, Spyro, or any of the other characters on the Facebook page).

We could definitely do with some more ideas to throw. Anyone?

I’m concerned by the addition of the guy from Final Fantasy VII – a game with a large, rabid fanbase. Rayman’s lead will be threatened if we get complacent.

I can't find the poll anymore, and even if I could, it would be buried underneath all the new stuff in the page's timeline. I guess all that's left to worry about is the image-liking -- until they post a new poll, at least.
