Well they both underwent name changes. Jimmy became Rayman and Globber became Globox. I’m still mystified as to why he decided to change his name though. Maybe the blueberry incident gave him PTSD?

The blueberry incident is a campfire tale told by folk of the Glade to explain how Globox "became" blue. It is not and never will be canon

Yeah, I strongly impose to that one and the rayman one. They WEREN’T supposed to be canon in the first place, since they were supposed to represent ancient myths

Canon has barely any meaning in Rayman’s series given the inconsistencies. Just look at Globox’s personality changes between R2 and Origins. I’m more inclined to think everything is a dream.

But even within the dream, that story is only a myth! Like a dream within a dream!

I would wager that there are more closet schediaphiles around here than you might think

A little disclaimer that if you remove Ly the fairy from the list, the number significantly drops (apart from Dumbo, keeping Edith Up

)

I found in a Chinese report that they said Globox belongs to a species called Glutes.

Glutes? Do we now have an answer to what his species is?

I don’t think so..
Well, glutes were supposed to be a thing in R3, but were removed later in the development. You can still see a 3D model of it in that secret room thing, (i dont’t remember where or how to find it, so yeah, raywiki’s your friend) but it looks nothing like Globox.
It actually looks like a small, blue bird. Maybe that user made a mistake or something..
Though, Globox still has a voice line where he says “gaseous glutes”, or something like that.

No, Glutes are a species of birds that were scrapped from Rayman 3. I don’t know where this “Globox is a Glute” myth is from, but it seems to be quite prominent

I also understood this when I searched for it in the community.

The myth comes from the Hostess asking "the Incredible Glute" to report to the welcome desk in the English dub of Hoodlum Headquarters, and a few other mistranslations in the English version that suggest incorrectly that Globox is a Glute. Someone on the English localization team evidently got the wrong end of the stick before the game was even finished, so naturally the misconception was able to pervade large sections of the fandom unchecked.
