So why did ronpay choose such a similar nickname to goldfist?

Gold is a color word describing fist, silver is a color word describing lum, both ending in bb. I think that link in the names was what he was looking at--he wasn't well-liked to start with, so he would create a username similar to someone else's and claim it was that person's alias. (GF didn't like that part too much.)

Why didn't he call himself golfist bob? instead of "bb". It would have sounded much better.

Well, I only thought it stood for that. The 'buster' part was certainly correct.
