Hehe, I do like the interesting scenarios these screenshots pose, good sense of humour the capturers have.

What I'm seeing Sakurai's interpretations about various characters are:
Villager is a psychotic maniac.
Wii Fit Trainer is obsessed with fitness, to a level that is a danger to others.
Mega Man is a literal robot with no emotion.
Mario just wants to settle down with Peach.
Bowser is now a pro wrestler.
Sonic is a smug bastard, more so than ever.
Marth is 2fab4u.
King Dedede is as he is in Kirby! Right Back at Ya!
Link is romantically confused.
Peach is a two timing slut.
Zelda is the overly attached girlfriend.
Rosalina is an independent black mama who don't need no man.
Toon Link is a gullible kid.
Luigi is...as weird as he always is in Smash.
And the rest haven't really had any notable things in their screenshots.

Well it's better for Mega Man to be robot with no emotion than to sound like he does in Mega Man 8

OK, so apparently there are more Zelda screens than the one I posted. You can see every single Zelda screenshot so far for the new Wii U Smash bros in this video. I still can't find out where these new ones are coming from though.

I hope it will have Pac-Man announcement. Rayman would be equally awesome but chances are very little.

Hm, PacMan in Smash? Guess time will tell, though in all fairness and honesty, I'm not so fussed about the Smash roster, I know if I do get a 3DS, I'll be getting Smash, specific characters or not.

The only specific characters I really want are Professor Layton and Reggie. In Layton's case, I pretty much think he's guaranteed a spot.
I can think of quite a few other characters, but they are either never going to happen (Rayman), or are more minor wishes (Lady Palutena, Dillon) that I can either take or leave. Snake also fits into this category. I'll be happy if he returns, but I kind of doubt he will.
Mega Man, Sonic, Rosalina, Professor Layton, and Reggie are the 5 characters that I seriously wanted in the game and felt they would make my hype for the game increase exponentially (which I kind of needed - lack of a real story mode and the 3DS version possibly being an inhibitor to the Wii U version sort of killed my hype early on). The first three are already confirmed, and hyped me up to the point where I felt the need to join a Smash Bros forum recently. Then Sakurai gave me nice surprises like Wii Fit Trainer and Toon Link (I was doubtful he would return due to him being on the Spirit Tracks stage. He was my second main in Brawl though, so I'm happy he's returning).
I'm hoping we do get some substantial Smash news next week. Seeing as it's the anniversary of the first game, I think it would be fitting if we finally got the remaining original 12 confirmed, even though there is no way they aren't returning. On top of that, I think we can get a break from character and stage reveals for now. I'm kinda itching to see what kind of new modes they are working on. And I think it's time we got some actual match footage too. We've only gotten one footage of an actual match so far. I'd like to see how the "in-between Melee and Brawl" balancing is working out. I can tell it's already better than Brawl's fighting mechanics (especially from watching the Sonic trailer, as I know him inside-out in Brawl - they may not have changed his moveset, but his attack animations are faster, his combo potential is even better as he seems to "catch" opponents with his attacks now, and he seems to have some increased knockback), but I'd like more detail.
Honestly, I just want a Smash dedicated direct. If Pokémon, Wii Fit U and Wonderful 101 got dedicated Directs, then Smash should too.
Or, if they wanna be REALLY nice, they could announce a playable demo next week, heheh.

And hopefully, worldwide and not only on some eShop regions
Also, to those worried about Nintendo, don't be. If we need worry about any of the big 3 companies, it's Sony. They are in a really dangerous position right now. Nintendo is just tripping over their shoe laces in comparison to Sony's state of affairs.

Well that makes me kinda sad. Sakurai, you were doing so well with bringing up my hype, why'd you have to go and spoil it? :c
I guess I will at least be happy if the single-player mode is still robust. Like, the Adventure Mode from Melee, only it has tons of levels. Because the main reason Subspace was time consuming to make was the high production values of the cutscenes. If they got rid of that, I think they could still make a fleshed out single-player with just gameplay.
One thing is for sure though - this is a screenshot of SOME kind of single player platformer mode. Otherwise, he wouldn't mention Subspace Emissary. This screenshot also matches up with that one part of the E3 trailer where Mario is jumping up through a forested area alone.
Also, a lot of people say this stage looks like it's from Rayman. The only Nintendo related game I can link this screenshot to is Luigi's Mansion 2 (it looks a bit like the second mansion). But I'm more inclined to think it's simply an original location for whatever the single-player mode is.

It has a Metroid vibe to it.

It must be linked with a 3DS game so my guess is that it is from Luigi's Mansion 2.
