What are the technical specs of Rayman Legends for PC? I've been thinking about purchasing it but first I want to know if my PC can handle the game.

Seriously, it's a fucking sidescroller, any PC made within the last decade should be able to handle it. I presume that hardly any drastic engine improvements have been made, so if you can run Origins, there's no reason why you wouldn't be able to run this.

I know a guy who has computer that plays Rayman Origins really slow.

Then his computer must really be quite terrible indeed. :)

Rayman Origins runs smoothly on my desktop PC, and it was built in August 2007.

I doubt the computer I'm on at the moment could run it at all....but that's not saying much for a computer that struggles running an Atari 2600 emulator....

@Haruka
On what resolution do you play RO?

I play in 1280x1024, since my display is a 5:4.

I tried out the demo, I played it at 1024 x 768, it managed fine.

That's not your monitor's resolution, is it?

Master was probably playing it in window mode.

Monitor's at 1366 x 768, but my laptop cannot stand that resolution for RO, so I put it down.

My monitor is 1920x1080, but when I record gameplay it lags due to small RAM memory so I play it usually on lower
I will do same for Legends

If I set the engery of my CPU to power save then yes rayman origins will move slow, though I own a high end chip (i7-3840qm)

Unless you're on the go, where of course, it is imperative you conserve power.

Rayman Origins (the PC version) ran at like half the normal speed on my old laptop. Even the Wii version emulated in Dolphin ran faster (that was probably because of a lower resolution though).
They're sidescrollers, but they run in quite modern 3D engines. Not everything can run it ;)

Additions like lighting (Rayman Legends has a lot of that going on, plus actual 3D models) though can impact the performance quite a bit, so that might be a reason why it may not run at full speed anymore. Also, wouldn't engine improvements technically make the game run faster? :P

Dolphin version was a lot slower for me. But then again, I was using anti analising and stuff
