Re: Rayman Legends
Right, in my school having these was also forbidden. You could have phones and mp3 players though, and with this you are already lucky.

Re: Rayman Legends
We can't have phones, but MP3 players can be played on the bus.
My school is really strict when it comes to those things.

Re: Rayman Legends
Hm, my current college doesn't mind us carrying and using electrical devices such as phones and mp3s, just as long as they're used at the right time and place, if one is using a phone in class, the phone is confiscated and sent to the office to be collected at the end of the day, same with musical devices, though most use phones for that thing these days.

Re: Rayman Legends
My university couldn't really give a crap if you brought in and spend the lectures with electronic devices. There's always a good handful either on tablets/phones playing various apps or on laptops playing Pokemon via emulators.
As for the release that's when i'll be heading back to uni, not all that good.

Ah yes, I recall there being a fellow who had quite the fancy graphical calculator, so much so, that he could emulate the first gen Pokemon games on it.Serza5 wrote:Pokemon via emulators/

My school takes away any electronics if they see it, cellular devices, handhelds, etc.
so that won't work.
I was always bringing my Game Boy handhelds in School
So much fun I had on recess. They did not allow cell phones but everything else was fine.
Re: Rayman Legends
You lucky ones. I hope my school would also be so strict with electronics. It's really annoying when people doesn't care about teaching, and only play with their phones the whole lesson.
Re: Rayman Legends
I did not play Game Boy during lessons. Only Recess. I am sure they would took away Game Boy if I was using it during lessons.

Re: Rayman Legends
Funny I brought my Gameboy Color into Primary (Elementary) school and some boy took it out of my bag during break so he could play it. I got it back mind you but since then the school banned Gameboys.OldClassicGamer wrote:I did not play Game Boy during lessons. Only Recess. Re: Rayman Legends
Everyone in my former school stealthily played with their phones, slightly under the table. They always kinda looked like they were fapping.
I don't have a fancy phone so mostly I wasted time by drawing. I also constantly unscrewed my pen and took all the pieces out, just to rebuild it afterwards. I feel like a motherfucking engineer when I do that.

Re: Rayman Legends
Messing around with pens, idle doodling in class and just plain daydreaming, that's how I usually got by lessons when I was bored, though I do own a smartphone, I never took it out in class, though I know many who do, it's a little annoying to be honest.

I have this one picture in my Greek notebook that is so horrificly terrifying that, occassionally, when I had forgotten I had drawn it, and rapidly turned the page, I would scare myself out of my seat.
In all Uni classes I've sat in (in one of those try-out days, y'know), there were always at least five people openly and quite obviously using their electronic devices, be it phones or laptops or whatevs. The professors don't give a damn; if you don't feel like learning - but for some reason you feel like sitting in the college room - go right ahead.
Re: Rayman Legends
Same here, but no wonder when it's the same country. That's quite hilarious, I wonder if they realize how it looks like.GNineify wrote:Everyone in my former school stealthily played with their phones, slightly under the table. They always kinda looked like they were fapping.

I kinda heard that in University there aren't teachers telling you what to do and what not to do, but I think it is pretty obvious since students in Uni have already enough age to know what they are doing, and teachers are just doing their job. If I happen to use electronic devices in classes, I guess it will be mostly to take notes (my Android tablet is pre-instaled with Polaris Office).

Someone in our class at one point actually was fapping.

Re: Rayman Legends
What's the prices like in your areas? Lower than your typical title at launch? Usually games at launch here are about £40-45, but Legends is currently as £35.

Re: Rayman Legends
I've only seen about a couple of lecturers here be bothered about disruptions and such. Most of them just aren't bothered presumably because it's not their fault if you do badly and they'd much rather focus on those who are actually willing to work. Although in some cases most don't do notes either because : 1. they'll look up the notes online, 2. the lecturer is just simply boring to listen to, or 3. they're just plain dipshits that somehow managed to get in.Haruka wrote:I kinda heard that in University there aren't teachers telling you what to do and what not to do, but I think it is pretty obvious since students in Uni have already enough age to know what they are doing, and teachers are just doing their job.
