right? So much world-building and characters established, only for them to be largely axed the very next installment. The handling of the Rayman series has always been puzzling to me

Backflipping is weird. The camera can't follow you so you Jump into the camera, so it's not really usable (you backflip by strafing, jumping and holding down).

That's precisely one of the things it bothers me the most about Rayman's lore. They had a solid base to work with, why don't they stick to it?? :grrr:

Heh every single Rayman game has differences with each other? R2 went from being whimsy to more serious tone. R2 and R3 went for edgy teen look. Origins just dropped everything, etc…
