It always seemed funny that he’s the god of darkness but he’s talking to rayman like a gentleman

Wow, the KMG Associates Rayman site! That takes me back. Almost forgot it existed, and it is a nice one!

Yeah, that's where I actually learned how to use Rayman Designer properly! :nostalgic:

I remember a shockingly low amount of Rayman lore... was there ever a canonical explanation for where all the technology came from in R2/R3? Rayman 1, from what I remember, had no machinery whatsoever. Where did the Robopirates come from all of a sudden?

Actually, I don't know to the answer to this question either. For all we know they could be space invaders from outer space! :oops2:

Hm, that might also explain how the Hoodlums got their technology, maybe they just used whatever was left behind by the Robopirates.

Another thing I just asked myself: Are the canonical heights of characters known? Wondering if Rayman is just really small, or if Globox and Uglette are some big a** toads :fou:

I wonder if Uglette was even mentioned in the other games.

I think the only other time was in Origins. Except it was unused.

Classic rayman origins moment.

I always had a strong dislike for how Uglette was randomly missing from R3 and how Globox was suddenly chasing cardboard cutouts of other Glob...ettes? Gladies? Globomoiselles?

Anyway, Uglette cute. We need more Uglette -- and her doing more than just crying because her kids are missing (which, like, LEGIT, but then... that's all from her). I know she's in Revolution a bit more but I'm still pretty unaware of most of the stuff that happens in that game.

My headcanon is that each game is in it's own contained timeline :D

That would make a lot of things a lot easier in a way... they're all just different multiverses like with Marvel's Earth-1, Earth-616 and Earth-811 etc.? Me like

That's Ryemanni's headcanon, the whole serprate universes thing. :)

I'm pretty sure that was mentioned before somewhere. I don't think there's an official source, but the idea definitely entered my mind yesterday during some of the other discussions that were going on. I think it was when we were talking about how the Fairy Glade would be beautiful once all the Pirate bastions were removed – but then maybe they weren't removed, and the Hoodlums just moved in later on. That makes the most logical sense, I think…

You saying Jano == Leptys? There are a few parallels all right, but their appearance is so different, and Jano doesn't need a Sceptre… Or does he? :bad: Let me think about this and maybe revive the theology topic later on…

Not really relevant but that reminds me of the "Toots == Monik" theory that came up yesterday. I definitely need to think a bit more about that…
