For me it would become the choice whether to move with my mother whom would barely be able to support us so we'd likely end up in the most terrifyingly awful rent home imaginable (And the Netherlands has plenty of those) and then I can already guarantee myself to never be able to attend college and get stuck living somewhere I hate for the next 10 years. Oh and because of time difference the entire social life I just build up would be gone. Yeah, not going to do that. The other choice would be staying with my father who I have such a small bond with that I barely know him so we'd probably live a really quiet life and any form of parenting would probably go away. Not to mention that anything fun would probably never happen again or become very rare, so= the next three years or so of my life would exist out of school -> my room -> school. I'd imagine a pretty cold and silent atmosphere comes out of that, and I'd really hate to start dreading coming home from school.
