@Sonic
Isn't Wii just an overclocked GameCube when it comes to power?

Wii is literally a bit more than twice as powerful as a Gamecube, IIRC.
And it shows, as I can think of many games that show it off. Either way, Miyamoto said Mario Galaxy was not possible on Gamecube, so that game (and it's sequel) are just two examples.
Seriously though, "The Cosmos Beneath Her Gown" sounds like the title to a really fancy erotic romance novel.
The real question is, will that cosmos contain some nice little panties like with Peach? :V
sorry rosie is mah waifu

Just so you guys know, the Direct is focusing on the Spring line-up for both Wii U and 3DS.
So I think we can speculate:
-DK Tropical Freeze, as it's coming out really soon.
-A newcomer announcement for Smash, being Dixie or Cranky to coincide with DK Tropical Freeze releasing in Japan tomorrow. Or, they could be boring, and simply announce Diddy as a returning character, like how Luigi and Sonic were announced via Directs (though even before the announcement of a Direct, I thought Diddy might pop up tomorrow on the Smash website).
-Mario Kart 8 stuff
-Professor Layton VS Phoenix Wright (it's coming out in Europe at the end of March, so the European Direct will get it at least).
-Sonic Lost World Zelda DLC
-Maybe some mention of Sonic Boom
-Possibly release dates for Kirby Triple Deluxe outside of Japan
And that's about all I can guess. Anything else that shows up may be new, unheard of stuff.
Kinda hope it's a good one. The first Direct of 2013 was awesome, as was it's final one. Hopefully 2014 will be a similar case.

Oh, Triple Deluxe is an international release. They've shown it off in all Directs, even non-international ones. It's just not had a release outside of Japan yet. I expect the international dates to be announced in this Direct. I honestly don't see why a Kirby game would have this big a gap between the Japanese and Western releases. There shouldn't be a lot to translate or anything. Unless there is something like the trophies in Smash Bros that includes a lot of text (I know you can collect keychains but they seem to be decorative and don't come with a history lesson).
Also, I was mistaken on the European time - it's at 10pm.
Also, it's been confirmed that this is going to be an international Direct (meaning every region gets the exact same presentation). The only other international Directs were the last one, the E3 Direct, and the January 2013 Direct. All of those Directs had some pretty juicy announcements, so expect something along those lines.
Nintendo also has a countdown web page up this time, which they have never done before. And a bunch of key studios such as Monolith Soft, Platinum Games, etc have been retweeting the times on Twitter. And Sakurai also has mentioned it on his pic of the day, and on Twitter. So yeah, some big announcements have to be on the way.
I'm also hoping to see more Yarn Yoshi myself. It's been over a year since we last heard about that game.

Oooh, hyping, eh?
I am going to be a bit euphoric if there is a new Metroid, potential advance warning. But that aside, I do look forward to seeing expansion on Hyrule Warriors, Triple Deluxe, and the lot.

For those of you who don't have a Nintendo device to access the Direct from, you can catch the official live stream of it here when it starts.
Also:
-Koopa Kids for Mario Kart 8
-Unedited footage of Monolith Soft's new game, showing off the battle system.
-Bayonetta 2 trailer
-Kirby Triple Deluxe is coming in May
-Professor Layton and the Azran Legacy got a US release date
-Free-to-play sequel to Steel Diver was released during the presentation for 3DS
And some other stuff I can't remember...
I'll be honest, I'm a bit disappointed. Some cool announcements, but overall a bit underwhelming. Little Mac and Steel Diver were the only ones that really were cool to me (Bayonetta 2 and Monolith's game look amazing, but I've seen them already, and there was no date).
The Mario Kart 8 trailer was a HUGE let down. When he said "you may get characters you won't expect", I was like "OH SHIT ARE THEY GONNA PUT KIRBY IN LIKE THEY TEASED IN THE ROSALINA FOR SMASH TRAILER?"....and then it's everybody's FAVOURITE characters...the bloody Koopa Kids.... :I

Yeah, I saw it too, bit underwhelmed myself no metroid...
In all seriousness, there was some interesting stuff, but nothing really significantly new, it was mostly ports or progress reports on various titles.
Nice to see Mac get the upgrade from Trophy to playable character. NES Remix 2 with some of the later NES Games involved, like Mario 3 and Metroid. And GBA Games like Metroid Fusion, M&L: Superstar Saga coming to Wii U.

I never played Punch Out, but seeing him included made me smile. Congrats Little Mac supporters.
