Well, Haruka did not know RL will be on PC so that is why she pre-ordered RL on Wii U before, and since PC version is already cheaper then Wii U version, I don't think she did any waste of money. She couldn't know back then it will be released for PC. Infact, nobody knew.

No, my point is, I think it's a waste of money to buy two versions of RL on LAUNCH, of course none of us knew the PC version would happen, that's why I pre-ordered the PC version and took it off the Wii-U version, if you total that in American currency, $40 for a PC copy and $60 for a retail wii-U copy, that would total to $100, like I said, I can understand if you are a collector, but buying two versions of the same game on LAUNCH I just feel is kind of a waste personally, you even said yourself, you'd rather wait like me until the retail version gets cheaper. I mean of course it's your money, you can do what you want with it, my point is though I don't see why someone would want to buy two different versions of the same game on launch, it's understandable LATER of the games release, but both on launch? I mean I can understand the PC version and Wii-U version will have some very neat differences (Mario and Luigi costumes), but for the price of that combined together!? I'd rather wait for the Wii-U version to hit cheaper. Again, it isn't a waste of money to buy two versions of the same game, I think it's a waste of money to buy two versions of the same game on LAUNCH.

I would have pre-ordered Rayman Legends for Xbox360, PS3 and Wii U, if I just had the money, because I would like to get all of the pre-order costumes. I waste money too much.

I mean I can understand LATER once that other version hits the bargain bin, but that's just my thoughts, I don't see the point in getting two of the same games on launch. Like when I got RO on PS3, I later got it on Vita when it hit the bargain bin and then PC.
Listen, I stopped buying games at release date since endings of 2010, since I got in legal age to do online purchases by my own and concluded that buying games in abroad websites like eBay is by far the best solution when it comes of saving money. On the other hand, what I am doing right now with Rayman Legends is a big big exception. It is a game I want to play at day one, otherwise if Rayman Legends was not that case of a game that I don't want to wait a lot to be able to play it, I wouldn't even have done the pre-order and willing to give full price (in the place I pre-ordered I'll have a discount of membership + pre-order so it won't be exactly full price). I don't see what's the problem since what I do nowadays with videogames in general is waiting few months or even years before getting my hands in a game. And if I didn't met economical conditions to pre-order both the PC and Wii U versions, I would obviously have not done this (Afterall I also got RO PC for free, I hadn't the PC version legally). And as a side note, what about Pokémon players that enter in a shop and buy all the versions at release while the versions are also virtually equal, with all the normality or like if someone was asking for a cup of coffee? Just saying.

Heeey now... I was thinking of getting Rayman Legends for both Wii-U and Vita. Though the Wii-U version would come first. :P

I might still be getting the Xbox version even though I've already pre-ordered the PC one. Or rather my mum might be getting that version. :P

The advantages of gamer parents!

I have a dad who's a programmer, so I can ask him stuff when I get stuck. :mryellow:

Sadly, I know few people whose parents think Video Games are worst things ever.

Lots of old people hate video games cuz they're new.

That is really silly reason to hate something.

I apparently am a serial killer, guys i'm going to jail. That old man seriously need to see someone its not the same thing at all. Its like saying eating ice cream in a video game is the same as eating one in real life. :|

No no no, I think it's fine you are getting two versions, but I can understand you want two different versions as a collector, I'm just saying what is the point of wanting two versions of practically the same game on launch? I'm honestly asking, not trying to be rude. I'd rather wait for the other version to get cheaper, I simply don't understand why some people want 2 versions of practically the same game on launch. I'm only saying, the money you could have used for Legends you could have waited until the PC version on steam went on sale, and got that for a steal. I'm glad you got your hands on a PC version, because that means you can record videos. I can understand what your doing is a big exception, but my point is, I don't understand why someone would want two of the same games on launch. Like I said, considering you have the wii-U version pre-ordered I would have waited to get the PC version until it went on sale, is it really that hard to wait? I can understand, being a huge Rayman fan myself, but even I myself was running extremely low on money, so getting the PC version was a smart move for me. Seriously, don't think I'm being rude, I'm literally asking, I can understand this isn't something you want to miss out on, and neither do I, but I have to give up one of the versions, as the price is far too hefty combined together.

I'm not saying it's a problem, once again I just don't understand why one would want to buy two of the same games on launch. I'm not trying to be rude, I really want to know, and you didn't seem very pleased by me asking, because I wasn't at all trying to be rude, I swear. I just think you could have saved a lot of money and waited for RL to go on sale (Steam sales are frequent usually) and get it for a steal price. I'm quite happy with you owning two versions, but again I don't see the point on launch. You really couldn't wait for one version to go on sale? Of course its your money, I understand that, it's just what I think with my money, I'd rather wait to get it. Please don't take this rudely. The Pokemon comparison you made also, I think those people waste money as well.

Although I think I agree with Hoodcom about the Vita and Wii-U versions, considering Vita is portable that's a big difference. I can understand it's a game you don't want to miss out on, and you rarely do get new games on launch, but I still think it's a tad bit of a waste to get two versions of the same game on launch, but it is your choice. I only ask this because I thought it would save you some money possibly? For whenever RL goes on sale, for your university studies, any of that. I'm not stopping you, I'm simply asking. And it seems you did answer me, not exactly the answer I was expecting, but you did nonetheless. Like I said I can understand you are a huge Rayman collector, you are seriously one of the most dedicated collectors here, I just was curious about the two versions though. It's like when people got the Wii and PS3 version of RO same day it came out, I mean both versions, fantastic, but I'd rather wait for a price drop on the other one, like I said earlier, that is just me. But I guess I was interested in knowing why other people would want two versions of the same game. I'm not saying your wrong by doing this at all, but I just thought it could save you money for whenever a sale shows up or anything of the sort.
