< says that Silence in the Library and Forest of the Damned are <'s two favourite Doctor Who episodes (really one storyline as they're two parts of one larger episode).

< does find it a little disappointing though how the River Song storyline went after that two-parter, though it wasn't anything bad, but after the amount of mystery she was given there, the payoff seemed a little...light, to <. < never really knew why < felt like that, but it's how < is.
As for the ep itself though, < loved it.

< can't seem to get XEN VGA passthrough working. < probably shouldn't have bought an entry-level graphics card to try with it!

< thinks it may be the obvious possibility that she was meant to be part of Tennant's timeline, but he quit the show before they could make that come to fruition and that basically caused them to have to rewrite her into the new story that Smith was living. That may have screwed with how well the story could have developed (although < like every episode with Kingston in it quite a bit - her and Smith's chemistry is great).

Hmm, < isn't so sure, even if Tennant's stepping down wasn't in stone, < does think it was clear his era was coming to an end. < thinks Series 5 might have been planned somewhat with him in mind prior to Smith's taking over, but the brunt of the Song arc was in Series 6. Either ways, < does like how Kingston played Song, make no mistake, it's the story, not the portrayal, that < finds a bit...meh.
But, let's not get worked up over that now, as < said, < has seen Deep Breath, and < enjoyed it. < is tired though, so < will save <'s thoughts for tomorrow, < really likes the new title sequence, the new Doctor, and the slight [redesign] of the TARDIS.
< doesn't want to do anything in particular today. < is tired, it is too hot and wet.

< didn't notice any difference. < was already confused when [the characters were hinting at that 'redesign' - < thought it looked just as it had before xD].
Also, that spoiler in your post was very obvious to guess at, Master.

Bugger, well, the thing's out now anyways, now.
< thinks it makes sense, it'd be a bit silly to have such a grand redesign so soon again, but they've made Capaldi's TARDIS slightly more darker, and yet a little more homely. You'll notice he's added some shelves and a blackboard to the upper balcony.

< did see the bookshelf but < thought it must've evaded <'s notice beforehand. < likes it, yes. Makes it the tiniest bit less alien and more homely, as the TARDIS is pretty much both to begin with.
That reminds me of another thing that happened in the episode: [<'s glad the whole "won't be your boyfriend" thing is out in the open now. < liked the flirty interactions between Smith and Coleman, but that wouldn't have worked at all with Capaldi - that would just be weird]. < wonders how their interaction will continue, though.

From what < sees, Clara might have to rein in Capaldi's Doctor, seeing how far he seems to go.
< has also seen ^'s reply in the Who thread, < is heading out for now, < will get <'s thoughts in there once < is back.

^ just reminded < of one of <'s neighbours across the street that decides to blast music out on his front balcony while working out, and the music goes on for 2-3 hours almost every day. It's annoying as fuck. Like seriously, put some fucking headphones in or turn down your god damn music.
