< does not mind she pronouns but if you could make an effort to call < "they" it would be appreciated
< has no problem doing that.
However, < thinks it's very silly how the
extreme minority - and this is a minority group a minority group within the minority group that is the LGBT community: the minority of the 'gender fluid' community - want a new pronoun just for themselves. < understands the want to be recognized for being who you are, but that's the problem, at that point they are no longer fighting for equality. Establishing equality means removing the big deal, not making one out of it, and coming up with a new pronoun to refer to this almost invisible minority when there
is already a grammatically correct, widely-accepted term that exists for the purpose of avoiding referencing gender and quantity, especially if that gender or quantity is unknown, is ridiculous. By definition, 'they' is both the most respectful to the person and the modestest overall. Also, of all the pronouns they could have made up, 'xe' is just attention-whorey.
'He/she' refers to someone whilst specifying quantity and gender.
'Xe' refers to the element xenon, and also someone whilst specifying quantity and the fact that they are genderfluid.
'They' simply refers to someone.

Well, < knows it was joke (< hopes it was back then, that would've been a pretty funny joke), < just felt loke mentioning that.

< appreciated xe as a joke too. But calling someone Xe would be calling them inert and uninteractive... hardly a compliment!

It relates to the whole gender-as-a-spectrum idea, which really is obvious given that our brains have the ability to evolve however they want to, not necessarily following a strict formula, even though they follow somewhat of a formula.
< actually hopes that in some far, far future, we'll evolve to become sexless (not as in being unable to have sex, rather, everyone would be 'both' in a sense), as that's the only way these issues can be completely abolished. < feels that we're too advanced as a species to be assigned one of two distinct sexes, it's damn near pointless and very primitive seeing as we fully grasp the concept and importance of reproduction. Mind you, having the two separate sexes does create an interesting social dynamic, but not a productive one in <'s opinion.
