< used to think they were fine, but now that < has started regularly using this site on his smartphone < is inclined to agree that there's a slight problem.

Because they are not in charge of the same section. Plus, several English moderators can't understand French very well and wouldn't be able to solve a conflict happening in this forum. At least one French moderator is required, and he must be noticeable (Besides, it enables to avoid mod abuses, although < thinks it's not going to happen).

< can tell the difference, but not at a glance - that's sort of the problem here. The colour coding should be immediately obvious.
