Revolution is only on the US Ps Store, I'm too lazy to make a fake account to
buy the game
Sure... Keep in mind
the dark side is still there

Weren't both Rayman 1 and 2 (PSX versions) included as classics around 14 years ago in PS3?

Yep, in 2008. Revolution is definitely much better than the ps1 version tho

Tbh, I have mixed feelings with the PS2 version. It could have been the best version, but imo they did something very weird with the open world. That doesn't mean it's crap, I think it's still very enjoyable.

It really comes down to whether you want to play rayman 2 or an entirely different game with the same characters and levels in it

I don't think different game is the proper definition. The Dreamcast version has some interesting variations, like the Isle of Doors, and some extra sections, like the Globox Village, and a lot of people consider it one of the best versions of Rayman 2. A different approach is welcome, but I'll always say the idea wasn't run how it should have been. If it's an open world, at least give it some life and coherence.

But the thing is, it’s got a different physics, a different world layout, a (mostly) different artstyle and replaced the unlock system with a shop system, and I believe that’s what makes at least a remake. Also the open world was unnecessary because of how linear the original game was, so it just consists of a boring walk (with nice background music

)from level to level

I keep getting lost in "The Front". All the time. And every time I accidentally go to a wrong section, I have to sit through the stupid "would you like to save your game" prompts. That's why I hate playing Rayman Revolution.

Rayman Revolution introducing the Souls formula (getting lost around the map with no orientation) years before. Oh, Ubisoft, how innovative you were

I dont remember if I already say it, but the english voice of Globox doesn't fit with the character

What in rayman 3? Agreed, I always imagined globox as a kind but dim character, so his overly chill, kinda cool voice doesn’t fit him. They nailed his English voice in Rayman 2 though

Yes in Rayman 3, his voice sounds way too high

I think the English version is the only one that sounds different from the rest (maybe I'm wrong here?). Apart from the English dub, I've only listened to the Spanish and French voice, and I think the latter two are much better (or fit better).

Yeah, for the English version they got John Leguizamo…

He's a deservedly-high-profile actor, but yes, I agree he doesn't really fit Globox

His voice definitely fits the theme of the game, but not the theme of the character itself

Not to mention the amazing art. However I believe even if the rabbids never showed up the game would’ve been brought down in some way
I suppose we'll never know! But the number of stillborn Rayman projects probably hints towards that.

Well, it hadn't been that long since the last Rayman game back in those days, and even if people were already asking for the next one, they weren't cynical about it just yet.
How would they have reacted if told that 21 years after Rayman 3, there still wouldn't be another main series Rayman game?

This slightly gets on my nerves since while fans would’ve definitely preferred a “proper” sequel, we can’t just rule out these entire full games as non-mainline
