Well done! It's such a relief starting part 3 with no cinematic at all. However, listening to Murphy's jokes as you find your way up to the top room is trying as well. The real challenge is the four blue animals though. The developers turned up the level of difficulty to the max early on in the game.

Mostwanted: I will try to put together a walkthrough at some point. I will have to pick up all the small improvements like the one I told you about in the 3MC. Be patient...

What are you playing now?

So it would seem, yeah.

By the way, what does the extended 3MC involve? How can I make 8340 combo points (600 more than usual) simply by taking two red gems later than usual?

The extended 3MC includes the second Matuvu for 2.500 points in combo instead of the usual 2.000 points. For that you have to take at least five yellow gems around the ledge below before zooming in on this Matuvu. It's a rather difficult exercise.

Last time I played FC I improved this 3MC by taking the red gem behind the Mushrooms as object number eleven. This requires some practise as well. All in all this combo should be worth 8.340 points.

Great work!
I'm on the DOTK at the moment and my total score so far (altogether in the game now) is something like 200,000.

Welcome to the forums! Have you completed the game with 200k or do you have 200k so far and are yet to play future levels? If the latter, then your score is very good. Are you intending to improve it?

@ MandM: Thanks for the information. I have an idea of a straightforward method to this but I hope to my life that it works.
Also taking the red gem as an eleventh item sounds tough. I tried it today but the camera keeps messing up.

Yeah, you gotta sort out the camera problem. What's your straight forward strategy?

I was planning on taking the third Matuvu straight after the second, but I've found this is actually not possible... great. So I wonder how exactly it is possible to combo it. After one of the yellow gems on the ground level? That's just insane, but if that is the case then it's going to take me weeks to crack this level for sure. And then there's the combo downstairs which I still haven't ever managed. This will be fun...

I've got 200k at the moment. I tried some of those combos for LOTLD.
Yeah, I am playing through all the levels at the moment, but in my previous save files, I really had trouble in The longest shortcut.

It's one of those levels where a decent score is very easy, but an extraordinarily good score is stupidly difficult.

And these blue animals are driving me insane. It seems the only possible way to combo the second is to take it after the fifth yellow gem, and this is insanely hard. Obviously I haven't achieved the extended version yet, and I guess it will take me ages. Then after this, I'll have to undergo many more of these in succession before I get the other Matuvu combo right. Little blue bastards.

That's about the gist of it. :D It's horribly difficult to get the second Matuvu in combo with a yellow gem. And when it's finally done, it can all go wrong with the last Matuvu. You really have to be patient with this part.

Any luck with the second Matuvu?

I think I've decided to...de-extend the 3MC and go for the original version. The extended version is just unbelievably difficult for me as I cannot even combo the second Matuvu at all. I'd make lighter work of comboing the Matuvu in part 2 for 1000 points (I'm not joking actually). Who knows what I'll do with the final Matuvu downstairs, but things aren't looking very bright at the moment :?

I assume you've tried the matuvu trick on that second matuvu?

The problem is, in order for the Matuvu trick to work you need to be extremely close to the next object which you subsequently combo the Matuvu from. It seems that in order to find this exact spot, you need to tread really slowly and carefully (if you run you pick up the gem for some reason). And I'm struggling to do this in such a ridiculous amount of time.

Do you have enough patience? I mean, it took me weeks to make it work. Try to experiment a little bit with getting the second Matuvu in combo after a yellow gem. Forget about the big combo for a while and just experiment with that one thing. When you can do this regularly, then you can go on incorporating it into the whole 3MC monster.

Hey guys! In order to protect the future Hall of Fame from potential cheaters, I have decided to allow two or three people to moderate it, by giving them the possibility to remove a score from the list. Of course, there would be a protocol before doing this, which would imply contacting the concerned players, and this is why I would like the moderators to be experienced players. Activity is an important criterion, and they would have to check the list several times a week (except for special situations, such as holidays or anything like that).
So, if you're interested, contact me quickly ;)

who wants to help me with TDOTK I founded out a glitch :)
You know the part where you must hit the gong with the rocket :O
then sneak to the right and there will be a simple movie about the kanaaren walking to the gong.
then go down ,, If you did this right then you cant pause the game anymore :O
and you cant look at your health either :O
but if you have a super power it wont ''run'' out and you will have infinite health in a LIGAL way :D :D

I'd be happy to help with this, sure :)

@ MandM: I think I've once taken the Matuvu in combo with the sixth yellow gem from the furthest edge, but it was very hard indeed and it took me ages to get close enough to the yellow gem. Other than that one time I don't believe I have ever taken the Matuvu in combo - I've been miles off! I wonder though, how did you approach this beast of a combo? Did you combo the creature from the same gem as I?

@ Raywiz: Nice! I'll have to investigate it. Maybe it has something to do with a secret room (although I'm still a sceptic :pfff: ).
