I hope they do more unique trailers, each one so far has been epic! just wondering, has anybody here beaten the original punch-out!? I cant get past Hippo without the use of the 3ds's restore points.

So Shokio is starting a movement of sorts to push for certain features and what not from Nintendo. It's mostly Wii U stuff. The video above gives the details, but he also typed out all of the information in the description:
This isn't MY campaign, so I'm going to let you guys decide on which issue you want to push for first. And like I said in the video and forums, always speak your mind on this list. If something needs to be added, taken away, or altered, let me know. I will take the top 3 issues I see people choose on this video and then put a poll up on Pretendo that will determine which one we do first.

Priorities:

1) Folders
2) Cross-game Chat
3) Cross-buy VC games. If I have a game on my Wii U, I shouldn't have to re-buy it for 3DS.
5) 3DS Messaging system
6) Join Game feature, like on 3DS. Or invites.
7) On-screen notifications
9) Things to hold us over during droughts, such as the Re-U-Magined concept. Indie games are great but everyone's not into them and a lot of those lack true longevity.
10) Faster developed games, as AONUMA said himself. You can't have huge gaps when you lack the 3rd party support.
11) Messaging system in the Friends List.
12) Let us navigate the WHOLE system with just the Pro controller and WiiRemote. You cannot access settings unless you have the gamepad.
13) Too much focus on the younger audience, pay attention to your old-school fans who are much older now.
14) GamePad off function. If we're not using it, and shouldn't have to be on wasting battery life.
15) A push for online on console games. NSMB, Nintendo Land, 3D World, all HUGE missed opportunities that could've provided longevity.
16) Voice chat for these games. It's 2014, and Nintendo can no longer afford to try to keep the kiddos safe.

Things that aren't priorities or fixes, but we would love to have.

1) Achievement system
2) Menu customization (colors at least)
3) The ability to play Classic Controller compatible Wii games on the Wii U GamePad.
4) Let us upload gameplay clips to Miiverse
5) Custom Miiverse communities, as promised back in the January 2013 Direct.
6) GameCube games on VC.
7) Gifting titles like the Wii had.
8) New Pro controllers with audio jacks (and analogue triggers)
9) Media playback via SD Card

Things we will NOT ask for

1) Ending region locking. It's not happening, they said so themselves, and I don't think it's something that can be patched anyway.
2) A new Metroid. A new Metroid game is undoubtedly coming to Wii U.
3) Streaming capabilities. It'd be nice, but not at all necessary and the system may not have been built for that feature.
4) 3rd party games. These are things that are up to 3rd parties, not Nintendo.
5) Unified account system. Nintendo was aware of this problem before the Wii U even launched and have already stated that they will work on it.

Remember that this is not about games (outside of Starfox and F-Zero), but the actual system itself.

And don't forget that while this may seem a lot, these things can be grouped up into separate topics.

1) OS Fixes and Improvements
- Folders
- Messaging from Friends List
- On-Screen notifications
- Join Game feature
- Game Pad Off option
- etc.

2) Online Focus and Fixes
- Voice Chat
- Party chat system
- More online implemented into games

3) Hardware
- Complete system navigation with WiiMote/Pro Controller
- Pro Controller that supports headsets
- USB charger for the GamePad
- Limited time GC Pro controllers, for Smash 4 and possibly GC VC.

4) Games
- Starfox
- F-Zero
- GameCube VC games
- Game gifting
- Smaller gaps in-between first-party releases

5) Misc.
- Media playback via SD card
- Customization
- Achievements

Just for example, it all can be broken down like that. So sound off down below on what you guys consider our top priority right now.
So what do you guys reckon? Would you like the system more/consider buying it if these things were in place?

That's...quite a list.
In terms of my real wants for the Wii U (besides the Metroid that I pull up in a less than satisfyingly comical fashion), I just want to feel that the platform is a decent investment when it comes to the third party, though perhaps I'm looking at the press a little too much .

Of course, I've never really had much time on a Wii U, so I can't comment on what's been listed, but I believe those are some very genuine and justified wants.

He lost my support right here.
His reason is ok, but if Microsoft changed mind, Nitnendo can do it too. We must not also forget that Sony used to region lock in past too but they changed it.

Meh, Ninty is as Ninty does, they've already said no to a petition in the past, so I can imagine that he'd rather focus on other improvements that have a greater chance of getting through.

Microsoft is Western.
Sony is Japanese, but are very open to the community, and the Western side of Playstation actually have influence.
Nintendo is Japanese, but they are not very open to the community (they're improving, though), and Nintendo of America do not have influence over bigger decisions, especially since Iwata actually became the CEO of NoA.

Nintendo are not going to end region locking any time soon. And while I don't agree with the concept, region locking is a VERY insignificant problem compared to everything else Shokio's movement is looking to address. In regards to Wii U, I have not heard of a single Japan-only game on the system. And I don't consider "I want a game earlier" to be a good reason to want to end it. Region locking is only seen as a problem because it is unfair to those who want games from a specific culture/region, but can't because they are not officially part of that culture. Wanting games because you are too impatient to wait for a translation is what causes problems, and is the sort of thing that causes Nintendo to implement region locking in the first place. Remember, Smash 4 is apparently not getting a story mode simply because Sakurai is upset by the fact that Western importers uploaded the cutscenes onto YouTube, long before the game came out in the West.

I think we should focus on getting rid of region locking when Nintendo's next console come around. It's a bit of a lost cause with the Wii U.
Anyways, I agree 100% with Shokio.

I think issues 1 and three are most important as they may as well hire a few hands to fix the hardware problems while the 2014 games are still in development.

So if ya buy a 3DS and an eligible game, you can get either get Pokemon X or Y for free. Damn it...

Also seeing footage and gameplay from Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, the game looks so fun, inventive, and overall creative! Man, I wish I had a Wii U to play it on.

Well, anyone who still plays the Gen V or VI Pokemon games better be quick in their Pokedex filling, it's going to get much harder soon.

I'm going to pre-order that from the Nintendo UK Store soon.

And then I will take that Blue Shell everywhere and then throw it at people whenever they do better than me at something.

"sonicbrawler182". You could ask to have your name put in the Nintendo Network ID thread if you haven't already, Raymanarenaps2, it may help you find people to play with in the future.
