< is angry because <'s mother is still smoking, even though she knows the risks. < understands it's not easy to quit, but it really pisses < off knowing that at one point her hypnotherapy was working great, but then she willingly started smoking again because she was 'afraid she was gaining weight'. Ugh. And when < tries to talk to her about it, she just gets mad at me and there's so much < wants to say to her (Not nice things, either) but < doesn't want to start shit. And she has those damn coughing fits every fifteen minutes, and it pisses < off just to hear them. If <'s mother gets lung cancer and dies it's really gonna fuck with <'s life, but whatever, her choice, < supposes.
< loves <'s mother a lot and usually has nothing bad to say about her, but this one problem is really getting to <. < is kinda mad about other things too but mainly what < mentioned before. And < hates feeling angry more than anything, < would really rather just be upset than mad. What's worse is there's nothing < can do about it right now.

< can't understand why people still smoke in this day and age.

< can sort of understand why people who started decades ago still smoke today, since they didn't know the health risks back then and have trouble quitting now, but < can't understand why people would start smoking in this day and age. < Wonders if some youth just want to kill themselves in a slow, painful manner.

< tolerates it though, since < has a friend who smokes. < should really ask him properly about it.

< Agrees. < even likes "Who Pooped the Bed" which is considered by many to be the worst episode.

< has a similar situation, but replace "smoking" with "drinking" and replace "dying of lung cancer" with "divorcing <'s father".

< doubts she will divorce at all, but the arguments are getting worse and worse, and she cannot control her emotions (and acts completely childish) when she drinks even a little. One minute she'll be making stupid jokes, the next she'll be angry at <'s dad for doing something like buying the wrong food or something, the next she'll be in tears for no good reason and she'll think about her father (who died just over a year ago).

< thinks she has medical depression or something, but it never (and I mean never) shows unless she drinks alcohol. Scary stuff, I say...

< and my father have tried talking to her, but she just gets angry or denies it. She doesn't take therapy or anything, she doesn't realise she acts... differently... when she drinks
