< reckons XP is probably <'s favourite Windows version too, though 98 definitely gets points for the nostalgia factor.

< has been using Windows 98 from very young ages, < can't even remember anymore xD
But < can remember those kind of good days with Windows XP Media Center ^^

< remembers when <'a school friends used to boast about the word "Professional" when they owned an XP
< was brought up with a '98 as well and, embarrassingly, has not since owned an OS newer than Windows Vista...

< uses a much more efficient tablet nowadays anyway.

When < was a kid < distrusted the Media Center version because the taskbar was shiny by default. And That's Bad.

< loves the XP aesthetic, < particularly finds the default backgrounds and icons very nostalgic. < understands why design choices have shifted though.

Agreed! Windows 8 really failed in that department, in <'s opinion.

< refers to the fact that, as any EULA will mention, one does not own an OS, one merely acquires a licence to use it. :mryellow:

< can't wait to get started on restoring it!
Very nice!

< is going to install Windows 95 (Czech version) from 23 (non-DMF) floppies.
< thanks ^.

< Also wishes ^ luck with that. < assumes ^ is using a virtual machine for this?
You’re welcome. :)

Yeah, < is using a Virtual PC 2007 VM for it.

< has managed to fit Windows 3.1 on a single 1.44MB floppy without using a RAM disk! It took 2 minutes to load up.
