Someone tampered with an alarm clock in the room, making it go off at random times. It went off a minute ago. <’s heart is pounding because < wasn’t expecting it!

Ah, that makes sense!
< used to get a kick out of setting <'s parents' alarm clock to go off in one minutes' time, late in the evening. Not that it had any kind of shock value or anything. < was/is a weird child.

< had decided to become acclimated to Skyrim's console commands, by resurrecting J'zargo. < wasn't happy when < realised he'd been killed and < didn't notice and thus reload. So < went for the more underhanded route.
