< usually has a bag, uh, backpack, which contains magazines, books, doodling equipment and whatnot.

Oh, a
backpack, of course, not a bag at all, hmm
Peering into the (admittedly small) abyss, < can count lipgloss, phone, oyster, purse, veil(?!), book, packet of tissues and a hair doodah.
< gets self concious doing make-up on the train, plus < has a shakey ass hand. A stapler, though? < can see why it would be useful, but it still seems out of place

Why don't you keep your Oyster card in your purse? :O And aren't any of you worried when you can't "feel" your phone, or wallet? I always go completely nuts when I accidentally put those somewhere else than in my pockets

< agrees about <'s phone.

This is why, in <'s experience, girls are far more likely to lose their phones on a night out

Perhaps because few dresses, if any, have pockets. But most of <'s friends keep their phones in their pockets on trouser days.
Contrary to ^^, < constantly worries about <'s oyster/purse/phone if they're in an (outer) pocket. < can at least keep <'s hand on <'s handbag at all times to assuade <'s rampant anxiety.
That said, < used to store a spare £20 in <'s bra for emergencies. < has wondered, once < gets some new pairs, whether to sew little pockets for notes in the cups.

< doesn't see the need for bags that carry daily needs. < has never gone out for a stroll, or out to town, and thought "I could do with X thing and Y thing right now" because < doesn't go out until X thing, Y thing and even Z thing are all accounted for.
< doesn't even carry a wallet, if < goes out then < knows if < will buy something, and how much that thing will cost, so < just carries the amount he needs in his pocket.
< also doesn't have or need a phone, because < doesn't need to waste money when there's Skype, and when <'s about to go out < tells people and asks if they need me at any time.
The only thing < might bring is maybe a Game Boy, but only for if < can't get home at the expected time and gets very bored.

So... right, so if someone gets to fun times with you, they also benefit from a slight monetary reward?

Yes, provided that someone is an oyster top-up machine

So Ambi, you say you have never had a broken bicycle? Not enough money for the train? The need to be picked up? The need to message your friends? The need to ask you parents to bring something while they're in the store? The moment you decided to eat at a friends house and wanted to notify your parents? < could go on, you know...
