Also I tried Textmod to see if it would work with the RL demo. It did nothing.

Well it is a different game so we must wait for new textmod.

But Textmod hasn't been updated in years (says the Textmod thread), so we might have to figure out some other way to mod RL.

Don't worry. I'll be sure to get it by the time it runs out.

I hope so. I want Mario and Afro Ray skins in PC version.

I'm afraid this is impossible. You can't create your own characters with Texmod.Texmod can only recolor already existing textures.

You're setting your standards very low if you really believe this.

Dream on, especially the first one.

Well, genius. Tell me about a platformer that has over 3 months of replay value outside of the main "campaign".

As for OCG.... man, let's face it... you're struggling to find reasons to not buy a Wii U, pal. Probably just because of your constant bash for region locking. You're not only asking for a textmod that can bring you cool Wii U exclusives like Afro Rayman and Mario Rayman (that are certainly impossible), you're asking for a Wii U emulator to play Sonic Lost World.
I'm not trying to force you to buy a Wii U, but If you really want their content, why don't you stop bashing and go for the easiest solution? Just saying. And please don't go over me with the "money hunger" topic. At least Nintendo doesn't ask for money so you can play online.

I'll be getting the Wii U version once it becomes cheaper, for now sticking with meh PC. Also OCG I totally think you should get a Wii U.

I think you really need to quit complaining about region lock, yes it's an annoyance, but I don't look at it as A HUGE problem really since I usually only buy one or two japanese games, besides I don't get why region lock would be a problem for Wii U, since most of the games outside of Japan are good enough for it.

What if someone tried to extract textures from Wii U version and use it in PC version?
@Rayfist and Sergio
I will probably end up buying Wii U one day when I go back to Japan for a while. I am just afraid there might be some really good western game that wont be released in Japan. But right now, I do not feel like buying it.

This is something Texmod can't do.I repeat:You can only recolor textures and Texmod will apply them.
Though, maybe extracting the characters files from other versions and put them in the correct folder from the PC version may work.

Second method seems something that could work indeed. Or maybe even this:
Take SFXT for example. Pac-Man and Mega Man were said to be only in Sony version but files are still found on disc in 360 version and there is a hack to play as them. That is because Capcom always puts all content on disc in all versions but DLC is different. Maybe all versions of Rayman Legends have all skins on discs but you can't access them on all consoles. What if Mario and Luigi skins are included other versions on disc? Then something could be done.

I actually see where OCG is going at. And I think the Street Fighter X Tekken example is good...
But maybe not just that, maybe someone would find another method of hacking that isn't using textmod? You'd be quite surprised what the modding community has done, shame I never saw much for RO.

RO modded sounds like an awesome idea. I wonder why was not many things done for it? Was it hard or just lack of interest.

Then why don't you buy an European console?
I must agree that the Wii U should be cheaper (Especially the Basic pack) but Iwata hasn't got plans for a price cut so soon.

I'd be pretty damn happy if they did a Wii U price cut, imagine a SECOND Ambassador program.
I gotta say though, I'm pretty damn glad I never bought my 3DS on launch...

I would have rather prefered an eShop refund than the 20 games they gave away: I would purchase the titles that really interested me.

European console is probably second best choice. I remember that on 3DS there were One Piece games that only got released in Europe and Japan. America never got them. Maybe something similar will happen with some Wii U game. I guess I shall wait some more time and see. Right now I don't know if any really awesome Wii U game even got released exclusively in Japan. 3DS has much more Japan excluvies then Wii U I think.
EDIT: I checked Wikipedia and only Wii U game released only in Japan is Skylanders Wii U version.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Wii_U_games
Heck there are more Western games not released in Japan
