^ doesn't have to, and < doesn't see many do that apart from < when < has to make a quick edit.

You know what, we disagree, and AFAIK the rules are up for interpretation, < choses to read them as using a "<" where appropriate, and if possible in every post, but < doesn't see the fun in enforcing it into every post at this point, since, as Capmsh said, this has become the main off topic conversation thread
