I love what you did with that charge-up animation and the Stone man npc, can't wait to see him textured ingame.
Good luck!

I'm not really sure that sentence made sense.LFrisco wrote:your custom game is unfinished... just expect all months and you finish later.
*Sigh*... It would be the best not saying anything.LFrisco wrote:My bumped old posts are unbumped now.
Fort Night. It's a refuge hideout and the first level when you enter the Darkalnds (refer to the first post).Hedgehog673 wrote:Hey, Rayfan, which stage are you working on now again? I forgot

Well, since the game is still consistent with fair use, there is no need to worry.spiraldoor wrote:Isn’t that kind of illegal?Naridar wrote:By the way, if Ubisoft C&D-s you, don't stop!
I think that sharing the project files and the source code might put a dent in his plans to get Ubisoft to publish it...PowerPatrick wrote:Well, since the game is still consistent with fair use, there is no need to worry. But if that would happen, RayFan should just share all the project files and make it open source.spiraldoor wrote:Isn’t that kind of illegal?Naridar wrote:By the way, if Ubisoft C&D-s you, don't stop!
First of all, we have seen an entire video of Rayman Origins gameplay, along with a number of screenshots. Rayman Origins will be the game to ‘save the Rayman name’, not an unofficial fangame. And yes, I am well aware of what happened to Rayman 4, but this will certainly not be a repeat of it. It’s clear from the trailer that the developers are trying to distance Rayman from the Rabbids games (while the Rabbids games are also trying to distance themselves from Rayman). There is no conceivable way that a 2D episodic platformer will turn into a minigame collection. Origins is designed to recapture the jaded Rayman audience, as can be seen from its endless stream of references to the previous games. The response to Rayman Origins has been enormously positive. There is no way anyone could possibly justify reworking it into a piece of crap which appeals to the same target audience as the Rabbids minigame collections. What you are suggesting is that the games will be other than what they seem – this simply will not happen. Ancel will not let it happen.Naridar wrote:I know about Rayman Origins, but as long as we don't see actual gameplay screenshots, I wouldn't hold my breath: we've all seen what happened to Raving Rabbids after the first trailer (which made it seem like an adventure-platformer game like the first three Rayman games): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f2JVIWG_E-s
Rayman’s slap ability is very similar to his punch, so I don’t expect it to be very difficult for us to adapt to his new (old?) abilities. Besides, the video clearly shows him winding his telescopic fist in the scene where he and Globox are fighting the pink monster. I have no idea how you came to the conclusion that Rayman won’t be able to glide with his helicopter hair in the game. And Globox will surely be given the ability to punch and glide, just as he was given the magic fist and gliding abilities in Rayman M.Naridar wrote:Plus, several of the games' staples (fist throwing, helicopter gliding) seems to be absent, hence Globox seems to be controllable, and he possesses neither abilities. Also, though that isn't a problem with everyone, I preferred the 3D Rayman games more.
