Banning someone from a forum (a means for discussion) he can't converse on isn't really that bad of an idea. Think about it, how is he any different this way than a bot spamming?

I'm happy that he finds Optimum useful and by all means, posting his updates are welcome, but it doesn't seem like he even reads our responses, or cares about them enough to open his own thread. But in that case, his behavior isn't far from a bot's.

He's a person. And he's posting his updates on what he enjoys working on. What if I were to show up here only to post my updates on my games and music? Would you ban me?

It's not the fact that he posts updates in Rayman Designer that annoys Truner. He is mainly against his posts because he is posting it in wrong topic that should be for Optimum updates and he just posts and leaves without joining conversation or doing anything. His posts are perfect example of spam.

I doubt Truner would ban you (assuming he was admin) if you posted your games and music updates on proper thread for it.

Mods can ban users too.

Nope, they can't. They can only delete messages and deduct tings.

Fifo, way to understand what this conversation is about. You never fail to disappoint me. :'D

Yeah, the problem isn't the fact that he posts his updates. It's the fact that 1. it's on a topic for another project 2. He just up and leaves, without ever responding, without even trying to understand what is going on. That much is visible since he didn't respond to any of this conversation, instead asking for an update.

To me, that doesn't sound like just a person, but instead a selfish spammer. But hey, if we could get him to update in his own topic, it'd already be an improvement. After all, you shouldn't try riding other's waves.

Do you realize that you made a 3 pages long debate about 2 ridiculous posts? I'm not an English moderator and I don't want to be one, but my wish would be that a mod delete any message non related to Rayman Optimum that he is posting here from now, understandable or not.

Actually, if the entire two-page conversation could be deleted, that would be the best. Tings included, since I don't care about the amount I have.

Say LoveMetal, what exactly do you need when you say "Java developer"? I'm looking around for people from a group/channel I'm part of.

I'm sorry, what? Listen raymandesigner:

I'm not exactly sure what you are working on. I assume addons for Designer? I see you added some Japanese-exclusive objects and some stuff. Once we are done with everything in Rayman Optimum, I'll see what your work is about. If it's up to the quality standard we are aiming for and it doesn't overwrite anything in Designer, we'll see about adding your content, with credit and everything. It could be officially part of Rayman Optimum. For now, Designer isn't really a priority for the team and your updates are kind of distracting. Can we come back to this later?

Someone please get me a Korean person.

Even if I don't think PH would hold it against me, I'm a french mod and I belong to french boards.

Sweet! Actually by a Java developper I mean someone who is a bit experienced in java (even better if he was part of some projects before), and it would be good if he had some training as well with the Swing library and with Bitwise operations.

Hey, just installed this today and I'm having a bit of trouble with the Raykit thingy.
Trying to start it I get

C:\Program Files\UbiSoft\Rayman Optimum\Raykit>CD RayKit
The system cannot find the path specified.

C:\Program Files\UbiSoft\Rayman Optimum\Raykit>Raykit.exe ver=usa

I apologize if this has been answered before in the thread but there's 57 pages of replies. ^^;

There’s an icon to launch it on your desktop. Use that.

I would assume that '>' needs to be a '\', but I don't have the program myself so cannot verify.

Nah, the '>' just represents the prompt.

Can you show us a screenshot? I'm not sure exactly what you mean.
