+ I dropped my computer and had its screen shattered, thus causing my recent absence here on RPC. Fixed now, although I gotta be really careful with it now because it's a little stitched together, but after this I suppose that only helps prevent it from happening again.

- State tests monday, and I don't feel ready at all

+ I had my first guitar lesson last monday and I'm pretty interested in learning more about it. I got about five minutes to just hold one and kinda mess around with it and I never realised how great it feels to actually feels to play guitar. Hopefully I can learn a first chord next week.

- I'm for some reason neglecting finishing a group assignment. Why, I wonder? Maybe it's just a really shit task (spoiler: [it is]), but I should be doing it regardless.

In fact, I was down enough to the point where I didn't even want to participate in the scholarship competition (the production one to get a full scholarship into Nimbus that I'd mentioned previously), but your post single-handedly made me jump on it right away. For the next five days straight, with almost no breaks and with only two to three hours of sleep each day, I worked on it - easily the largest production I've ever done, with 59 tracks in only three and a half minutes - and I just finished and submitted it an hour and a half ago, half an hour before the deadline! To think, if I would've read your message a mere half an hour later, I wouldn't have gotten it done in time.


+ I had two piano competitions this past weekend. For the first one, you have to notate and perform an own composition. I played my compilation theme to Starlight Peak (a newer, longer and more revised version of that music-sketch I posted in the ROTD topic), and won, with a 93!

- For the second competition, they give you a short one or two-paged piece two days prior, and you have to learn, memorise and perform it. Last year I did great and got second place, but this year I was way too focused on other things (like the scholarship project and putting together Starlight Peak), and I totally bombed it. I paused for probably about five seconds on the second last line, and then only played the right hand from then till the end because I couldn't remember it very well.


+ Despite it being too hot, this is some of the most beautiful weather I've seen in years.

- I had to do a bunch of lame practice tests to... well, practice for a long, lame test that I've gotta do in less than a week.

+ I woke up at 9 AM fully rested, which means I've already had 3 hours of having some fun browsing around and my whole day is still in front of me!

- I woke up at 10:30 am, fully rested, geez, I remember the days when I was up at 7:00 am.
