It's not that my name is visible that's a problem really, but I'd prefer to be called Son of Dark, I'm not sure, because then it'd state that for my google account too

Actually, I never really looked into changing my username back, but I always kinda half-assedly almost wanted to do that.

I think it would be better to do it on some place where we can live chat, but I will try to explain it here too:
First thing: Go to YouTube and click on your channel then on settings. There should be option to unlink Google Plus from your YouTube.
Second thing: Do what I said in above.
Third thing: Go on google homepage, click in right corner on your name and on account
Fourth thing: Under account management you will see option Delete profile and remove Google plus features. This will not delete your mail and stuff but only Google Plus. Click on that, next select delete google plus content, and you are done. I hope I made tutorial with good steps. If you have questions, just ask me.
