Re: Rayman Legends
Hm, [Personally, I didn't know what to expect with Legend's ending, nor did I really think much about it, in retrospect. However, I was hoping that it'd at least be similar to Origin's level, while it is nice to have a final boss fight this time, I can't say whether or not it really makes much of a difference compared to RO, the boss fight itself looks rather meh, even though the Moskito sequence wasn't a boss fight, I think it would still hold more satisfaction beating up Mansay and destroying everything he built, than defeating a random beast then finishing by slapping a clone to the moon a fifth time, but we'll have to play it for ourselves to be sure. In the meantime, you're right, the alternate ending could be much better, but for the time being, let's not get our hopes up.]

Re: Rayman Legends
I agree with you completely, even though I expected more, as any player would when thinking about [what the five Dark Teensies reunited could be capable of. I started thinking of this the moment I knew they would eventually end up there together.] It's as if Ubisoft Montpellier forgot one of the basics for game developing: you need to reward the player. [Credits starting to roll right after seeing the last Dark Teensy end up there] just doesn't cut it.Haruka wrote:I think some people will disagree with me but [ I expected much worse. It was not really epic, that's for sure, but at least it is a more complete battle, contrary to RO that was just a Moskito pursuit and not a battle at all. Knowing how there isn't a real villain at all in this game, I also couldn't expect something extraordinary. Maybe this wasn't also the real ending, since RO featured an alternative one, and with some luck the alternative one is better. We'll see. I think this final will be a little more satisfatory than RO when I reach it. The way that RO ended did taste me like I did lots of effort for almost nothing (Don't get me started with the Death Fairy's "Thanks!"). I can't deny the fact that Ubi seems to have forgotten how to make more satisfatory endings but I guess we are probably asking a lot. ] .
Feel free to hope for that and be disappointed again.MyBodyIsReady wrote:I made a discovery about [the "final boss" of the game. Also, noticed how the final boss video didn't show everything? It skipped a few parts.

Re: Rayman Legends
Wouldn't it be nice if the Back to Origins version of The Reveal took the opportunity to improve on the original and actually make sense or tell some kind of story?

Re: Rayman Legends
Kay, sooooo.... [ The last boss was cool, very interesting design. And yes, just like everyone else, I think the ending was "meh", but this game's all about the gameplay, anyway, so it doesn't really matter to me. I didn't even really expect any super-cool, "OH NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN THIS GAME IS STORY DRIVEN" ending, but at least it ended with a boss this time. AND GIVE IT UP WITH MR. DARK ALREADY!! ]

It is true.Once I saw a video where the El Chili battle was unlocked, but the Giant Toad battle wasn't.OldClassicGamer wrote:Please let it be true.MyBodyIsReady wrote:I made a discovery about [the "final boss" of the game. Re: Rayman Legends
A pertinent question: it can be either possible or simply the very same level of Origins without any change.spiraldoor wrote:Wouldn't it be nice if the Back to Origins version of The Reveal took the opportunity to improve on the original and actually make sense or tell some kind of story?
Re: Rayman Legends
Obviously, the guy edited out the deaths. We wouldn't want to watch him fail at this game.Drolpiraat wrote: Also, noticed how the final boss video didn't show everything? It skipped a few parts.
Fat has a point; there is no real final boss, you choose the order. It just so happens that this guy faced this boss last and shit happened. However, I believe there MAY be some other, alternative ending to this game, but who cares? I'm not expecting any fancy story or character development in this game.
Also someone pointed out that they give you a lot of Lums after you beat that boss even though you only need 100 to get Gold or whatever; well, getting 400 more always helps in getting the million Lums to get the final character, and in fact, any character in-between.
Re: Rayman Legends
I want to ask something to future PC players of RL: Who owns a UPlay account? We could trade nicknames.
Re: Rayman Legends
I own UPlay account and it is OldClassicGame since it would be too long with letter "r" and they did not let me create it.
I already have TDF and Haruka on friend list. Others can feel free to add me.

Re: Rayman Legends
On Metacritic, as it stands, the 360 version has a Metascore of 90, PS3 and Wii U have 91.
Re: Rayman Legends
Why is PS3 version rated higher then 360 one? Arent they identical?

Re: Rayman Legends
Watched the video and I have to say [Why can't 2D Rayman endings be good? Like seriously Rayman 1, Origins, and Legends are just disappointing when it comes to ending. But this doesn't mean Legends would be a disappointing. I mean so far the game looks pretty fun! It doesn't even need a much of a story to be honest. As for the final boss, wait a second, how the hell can we consider this the FINAL boss?! All the worlds can be unlock in the matter of playing the first few levels of the damn game! These bosses don't have an order. Okay back to the final boss, it's averagely good. I mean the music isn't harsh but rather calm yet intense, which oddly I enjoy. The hand was pretty stupid but the it progresses into other forms so it's not entirely stupid. As far, Rayman Legends will be GOTY. (INB4 other members, I want to say yes I haven't played TLOU nor Bioshock Infinite for I do not have much funds to purchase many games even if I wanted to.) ]
