< is sick, and stressed, < is not going to be gentle if anyone kicks off again, bear that in mind.

< points out that PS/2 mice are actually still used (or at least were still used up to very recently, most of <'s motherboards have PS/2 ports).
By PS/2 compatible, it means that the computer's BIOS, and any OSs running on the computer, can treat it as a PS/2 mouse for backwards compatibility.
