Marley wrote:Just in relation to what Stacey said about Yoyo Games sucking, I'm working on a new Rayman game with Game Maker called "Rayman: The Darkness Returns".

Basically, it's set after the events of Rayman 3 and Mr. Dark comes back! I plan to also try and include characters who were only in R1 and R2 that haven't reappeared since their debut.
And in my game I also plan to make the final battle, against Mr. Dark, more interesting, as he will not summon creatures made up of previous bosses.
No, you have to fight Mr. Dark himself!

There is one problem to making this game however, and it is a bigger problem than finding the sprites. It's finding time to work on it. Not only that, but I'm also working on another game project at the moment, so my Rayman game will have to be put on hold.
But when I do get to making it:
1. It will be awesome
and
2. The Pirate Community will be the first people/organisation to know about it.
Wow awesome :pfff:
I think that this is getting the same as Roxaskennedy's TMNT game

Sounds fun, with Mister Dark, even better. *snaps fingers* Volia, I'll have my fingers crossed to wish you good luck. Image

I've heard of a few other Fan games being made, like Rayman 1-II and Rayman DX on youtube.

In addition to my original Rayman fan-game (The Darkness Returns), I also plan to make my own revamps of R2 and R3 in Advance style.

That's right, there will finally be a Rayman Advance 2!
It will feature level design and gameplay of the console version (N64, DC), some cutscene dialogu from the PS1 version, and I might also add in some Rayman Revolution aspects too!

So, why am I doing a Rayman Advance 3 as well?
Well, it's because R3 GBA is more like R2 and R3 squished together, so it really is more of a R2.5 GBA.
My Rayman Advance 3 game will be closer to the original console version.

But please be patient for these games. I'm a bit pressed for time at the moment and have a Sonic game I'm working on as well, so they may end up being fully completed some time next year. BUT THEY WILL BE MADE, NO DOUBT ABOUT THAT! :D

Maybe Drolpiraat should steal Rayman DX and incorporate it into his own game or sth?

Maybe I should do a fan-game! :D I will not give up anyway and it would be open-source! I must decide if I should use XNA, SlimDX or CsGL to make the game.

Use Allegro. If you understand C/C++ (including pointers), it's easy. And it's portable.

I knew it. People are gonna ask what Allegro is.
Allegro is pretty much a Polish version of eBay.

Damn, could ya believe they had THPG and MHPB2? Unbelievable!
