He's from a fucking Anime! Goku is not a video game character! He originated from manga! It won't happen! That's like saying:

"Hey, Dipper and Mabel are in games! Vote for them for Smash!"

Tell me in what console game Dipper and Mabel appear where they are main characters.

Saying that Goku is not a video game character is incorrect because while he first appeared in Manga, he starred in many games and a good number of them were on Nintendo systems too.

There's were you're wrong. The character you're voting to be in Smash has to have originated from a video game. Just because Goku was in games doesn't qualify him to be in Smash.

Show me evidence where they said that character needs to have originated from game. The only thing I remember them saying is that it needs to be video game character which Goku is since he appeared in video games.

Still, Smash Ballot clearly stated that only characters from video games are accepted, meaning that character you are voting for needs to appear in video game. Sally was never playable in any Sonic game, therfore it doesn't qualify.

No, OCG. Not 'just how'. Sonic was primarily designed as a video game character and has a franchise built off the success of said videogames which then led to spinoffs in the realm of television and comics. Goku was primarily designed as a shounen manga character and has a franchise built of the success of said manga which then led to spinoffs in the realm of videogames. You are not ignorant of how their histories differ.

To accept Goku into Smash would be unprecendented and it's not likely to happen until the roster of videogame-based IPs available to Nintendo is exhausted. You might argue he's a videogame character, but so is Dora the Explorer.

I know that Goku and Sonic were primarily designed for different things but the fact is that both of them ended up being video game characters as the time went. It's just that one was first in video game and one later after manga success.

I never stated that Goku has a high chances of being in Smash since of course it is logical that Sakurai first is interested in videogame-based IP's but what I was saying was that Goku still in the end is video game caracter as well and that he is allowed for voting.

And yes, Dora is video game character too, but nobody in the right mind would vote her
