Despite it's supposed "global release" thing they introduced way back, X & Y were released today in some stores in Canada and Italy.

If I had a 3DS I would be getting it then since I'm in Canada too. But I don't have one, I'm stuck with the original DS that is half broken.

Canada is NTSC
Italy is PAL
All of us can pretty much import it if not from one then from another country.
But region lock needs to die. Nintendo is only company that is still keeping it. These are not 80's Nintendo, it's time to move on and globalize. Hear the voice of us import gamers. Sony and Microsoft did.

Personally I don't think Nintendo is keeping themselves busy with region lock anymore. I don't deem it entirely impossible that it will never be removed at some point though.

He interestingly seems to make an appearance in the Origins anime too :
Unsure what to think of this as I never was overly fond of Charizard but that colouring is damn fine.

Someone called him Azula Charizard, if I recall correctly. Interesting to see that they're tying in Mega Evolutions into the origin.

Red doesn't seem to be wearing a Mega-ring though so I wonder how he managed that?
EDIT: Pokemon JP's youtube channel uploaded the intro sequence of the game :

I don't think i'll be able to get past this part of the game.

No doubt he'll be the latest to ask the age old question, I'm a dear lad, good professors, how'd you get such distinction if you can't determine gender?

Who said crossdressing couldn't be a thing in Pokemon? Or rather, in the games as well as the anime.

Fair enough, though is it more impolite to assume gender, or having to ask it?

I don't see anything wrong with asking for gender, it may sound insulting to some but they'd probably be as equally offended if they called them a gender which is not their preferred one.
Although my issue is why the frig is Sycamore not asking me to bed.

Remember me the release date of X and Y?
I'm thinking in getting still this year the Pokémon White 1, since I'm starting to get late in the franchise.
EDIT: Just watched the episodes of Pokémon Origins. Beautiful, to sume all up. This should be the real anime by the way.
Spoiler in transparent text: [
At the same time they promoted the release of X/Y, since during the battle between Mewtwo and Charizard, Charizard mega evolved to the form of X.
But it was a good surprise. ]

Could someone link me to where I may find these episodes? I've not been able to locate them myself.
