< put some cheesy scones into the toaster and suddenly the fuse blew. < went down to the cellar, switched the fuse and came back up to find the toaster had caught on fire.
< did clean it out though, turns out it was a rouge crumb that had caught itself on the wire that heats up. < then tried toasting the scones again, successfully. Pretty damn yummy they were too.

Bah, household appliances. They make your world go round and break your heart. <'s not speaking from experience, of course...

< is finally awake.

It's the first time <'s had a fire in the house... Also <'s parents are away, which funnily completely contradicts my saying that it's incredibly unlikely for anything like the house burning down when they happen to be away...
