Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I had that game on PS1 LOL. I beat it in like, 2 days and ended up hating it so I traded it in and got Rayman 3 on GBA.

What do you mean?acarr1 wrote:Rayman Hoodlums Revenge more likedingodile555 wrote:You think so? I've watched videos of the DS version and to me there's no way it is better than RRR GBA, which I think was the last good Rayman game. I really loved Raving Rabbids on GBA and I still replay it.acarr1 wrote:At least it was better than the console and GBA versions.
Not the case for the console version, which I utterly despise and am trying to sell it on eBay.
Uhh, you mean the GBA platformers?StaceyW wrote:I just have a big problem with Crash Bandicoot type 2.5 graphics is all.
I had a Donald Duck game on PS2, I think it was called PK or something. I just traded it back in after a few days. Quack Attack always looked cool to me but I never played it.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I mean when the first one went into the 2D type angles [not that it was a bad game, it was just really fuckin hard, perhaps even harder than Rayman 1]. On RRR DS it just looks like primitive with 32 bit graphics.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
RRR DS doesn't have 2.5D graphics at all. It's all 3D, but the camera follows you from a 2D-like angle
Well, i don't like the combination with RRR music and Rayman 2 sound effects

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
It's not?
As for the music, it would have been better if it was like a module/MIDI file or something rather than the actual music files. That way it would have sounded clearer.
Edit: I just beat it last night. And I see that no-one's still written an FAQ for it on GameFAQs yet, shall I do that when I get back from my nan's?

Oh right. I beat it 100% last month and although it was some tough shit, I'd still say Rayman 1 is harder.StaceyW wrote:I mean when the first one went into the 2D type angles [not that it was a bad game, it was just really fuckin hard, perhaps even harder than Rayman 1]. I like how they have Globox, Teensies, Ly, Murfy and that giant Antitoon boss in the GBA game. And the Dream Forest was awesome. I love RRR GBA for that.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Well, i personally liked Ly and Murfy style better in Rayman 2
They just look to shiny now

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Once I knew that you had to circle the screw thing in the Rayman Gear the last few bits were plain sailing. I gotta find the other Lums bags yet though so my FAQ won't come online just yet.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
??? Can i have a pic of that?Drolpiraat wrote:Yeah, Donald Duck used Rayman 2's engine. And not only the engine: look at the font in the menu

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Yes, the menu is almost identical in concept, loading screens are similar, don't forget that ele-mele-teleporter creates something similar to portals, and even dust in N64 version is messed as lums in emulators (it's red!). Pause menu in portal level also causes loading, as opposed to level's pause menu. There are LOTS of things like these.
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Tough, i think that the font is not ruely the same. It looks like it, but it isn't the Rayman menu font. The Rayman menu font is more curved and stuff.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I'm not saying this because I don't like the rabbids, but it does look kinda rubbish
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
Really? It looks to be on the same level as RRR1.Acarr wrote:I'm not saying this because I don't like the rabbids, but it does look kinda rubbish
Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I can honestly say it looks rather fun. I like the style of the game, though it seems to be moving further and further away from Rayman.
It looks like something that would be fun to play with friends too. We´re getting rather sick of Mario Party, Kart, Brawl and Wii sports for our weekend-get-togethers anyways...
But I don´t think I´ll buy a balance board just to play it. So if I need that to be able to use all the features of the game, I´m not getting it.

Re: Rayman Raving Rabbids
I don't want to get it, but I'll get it for my collection *long deep sigh*
