Why would you buy Half-Life, anyway? You can get it for 0,01 bucks online somewhere.
P.D: Don't get the Source version. DON'T. It's the same thing as HL, just that I think it has less support for mods. < aprooves the idea Source is a piece of sh*t.

< believes the Source version has a few updates, like a few remade textures and models and such. The most notable difference is the water which is greatly improved in the Source version due to the new physics. Otherwise it's as Hoozang said, less mod support and basically the same thing.
