Even if it would be true, it doesn't have to be a bad thing. Like when the POP movie came out, the new released POP game wasn't so close to the movie....

Well, at one point, Rayman 2 was supposed to tie into the cartoon they had back then, but by the time both released there didn't seem to have any connection. And Rayman 2 is a lot more popular than the cartoon!

But anyway, yeah, I don't see any reason to believe in this. But it sounds like it could be enjoyable if it did somehow turn out to be real…

Had it really been in development for well over two years, surely there would be more to leak that vague descriptions of the project's overall direction.
