Don’t get me wrong here, as much as I love chocolate, I really prefer stuff with fibre. Apart from crème eggs of course, but they don’t count because they are too good

Wait eggs have fiber? I thought they had just protein!

I mean meat and stuff, but I wouldn’t say an omelette fills me up the same way as a very long meat on a stick does either

Ohhh I see. If I wanted to add fiber to an omelette I’d go with rice, I was never one to go for that classic American toast with eggs for breakfast.

Speaking of American, I must say I’d only pic scrambled over sunny side up would be seasoned on a big stack of American pancakes

Hmm eggs with a side of pancakes eh? I ve seen that combination, not the biggest fan but I like it better than eggs and toast.

I had an American breakfast at the cafe down the road and it has to be the best breakkie I’ve ever had. 2 giant pancakes, a decent maple syrup portion, 2 strings of bacon, 2 slices of toast, the best scrambled eggs I’ve ever had, a giant sausage and probably more

Well I’m glad you enjoyed it. I think I would like everything except the sausage and toast. I dunno what it is about toast but I would prefer having it by itself, preferably with some spread and toppings.

I’m surprised there isn’t a toast thread, that could be an interesting place to talk about toppings! Personally I like peanut butter on mine, but I also like butter and just having it plain

I swear there was a toast thread, or at least something involving bread in some capacity. I wonder if it was one of the RD threads that got archived due to changes in quality standards...much like the old BONK thread xD

The best form of egg is undoubtedly... The fried egg. With crispy edges and a jammy yolk. Fight me or concede.

That one was pretty braindead I’ll give that, but I’d like add a word to the story and word to word to be unlocked though!

Given our breakfast is similar to an English breakfast, I agree about fried eggs. I even like to have them on bread.

lol, I really wanted to try the full Irish at finnegans when I went to Lanzarote, but there were a lot more spanishey foods on offer there

Fried eggs are nice with seasoning and on something like avocado toast and yes I would prefer if my yolk was runny. It’s a sad day if I cooked a fried egg and end up with a hard yolk in the middle. I’ll still eat it but not the same feeling.

It makes me wonder what Irish foods are like in other countries vs here. I need to try that at some point just to see how well they do it.

I’ve only actually ever had Irish food in Spain and I wonder how it’d be different in actual Ireland

When I originally told my Swedish gf about our fried breakfasts and that we have "breakfast rolls" in a deli, they were kind of like "wait what?". I also told them we put crisps and stuff on bread too and they also found this strange. I didn't even know other places didn't do things like this lol.
