It is more than confirmed that the GOG version is the solution for people who experience the Pirate Head problem. I also completed the game 100% in my Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bits Laptop.

I'm the lucky one to never experience a pirate head...yet.

I think I would get a heartattack if I did.

Believe me, this depends on moment of its appearance. Half of first stage of Precipice means guaranteed falling of the chair (or whatever are you sitting on).

BTW how do you call my "chair" in English? It looks like this:

======
-======
----- ====
-- ----- ====
-- ---------
@---------- --@

At's are wheels. My... end of back is on the higher one, my knees - on the lower one.

wheelchair?

Well, I never saw any heads at that level, and I played it today. I missed 3 lums and did a rerun. No heads either.

Oops, the font changed. I don't mean wheelchair for sure. Wikipedia says kneeling chair, and I'm gonna believe that.

What I meant is that if it happens during, say, beginning of the level, it is not as scary.

I have Windows 7 64 bit. I wanna be sure that the gog one works for this. Does it work? And one more question. Do you buy the game and download it directly on the gog site like Steam? It would be great if it did.

Yes, it most certainly works. Don't worry :)

You download the game by making an account and buying it on the site, after which you can always download it again for free.

Hey,
I'm new on the site.
The problem is, I can't buy stuff over the net yet. So, isn't there another solution ?
I''m now getting the pirate head while playing "The Precipice". No workaround guys ?
The patches won't work on my pc. Guess it's because it's multilanguage....

It will be pretty difficult in that case, because the current solution we know is to buy the G.O.G. version of the game.

I have Windows 7 Ultimate 32bit and I got the game working without any problems by installing it just the normal way and not modifying any settings.

Hi, there's a nice guy who developed an intaller for 64bit OS extracting files needed from original CD.
Try this;

Code: Select all

The reason why Rayman 2 doesn't work on x64 is because of the DRM protection.
I can't thank GOG enough for removing it and making it CD-less!
