It's always easier to analyse other people than ourselves.

I think as long as we are capable of learning from our mistakes, that's the most important thing. There are also unhealthy versions of each type, and that's something to always take onto account. For example, villains are often xNTJ, which clearly means they're unhealthy versions of them. Healthy xNTJ people won't try to kill you.

I decided to try this humanmetrics test yet again for the sake of it to kill some time, even though I would normally rely on one like sakinorva.

I find it interesting that in tests like this, my perceiving level is kind of low, and I didn't really think of myself as an INTJ. I know that I'm a perfectionist though despite not being the most organised or planned person, so I can see myself having a few traits of an INTJ still. A lot of INTPs and INTJs happen to be enneagram 5 also, which I seem to get, and my socionics result is ILI (INTp), which is ironically an INTJ result. I also tend to get high readings on enneagram 1, which is the perfectionist one.

EDIT: People have also analysed Einstein to be an INTP 5w4 (same results as me), and Bill Gates is also INTP it seems. It's typical for a computer nerd to be INTP so I still think it fits me. EDIT 2: We can't forget Professor Oak.

It's a little funny that people even analyse characters when they don't really show a personality.

Same for Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends... As you said, it's a bit complicated to determine a certain personality to these characters

It's interesting to see the results shown on the survey. As expected, most are introverts (to a greater or lesser extent), but what's interesting here is... What are supposed to be the rarest personalities (INFJ/INTJ) are among the most common here! Any theories on this matter?

Here's mine... I think it makes sense that the two least common personalities in the population are among the most common in a forum like RaymanPC (and not just because they are introverts). I must also say that it is difficult for a person to be completely defined with one of these personalities, but well, let's consider the general characteristics of each of the personalities for this little theory...

I'm going to focus first on INTJ. Considering their characteristics, I would say that writing, after all, appeals to them. In the end, writing gives you the opportunity to express yourself in a more thoughtful way, so it gives you more time to explain things in a more detailed way. Also, I think the main topic of the forum (Rayman) helps. INTJs are supposed to be "efficient" and you are more likely to see them participate in forums that deal with more specific or "niche" topics. Lastly, I think the forum itself also helps to "attract" these personalities. In general, they're always going to find deep conversations more entertaining rather than somewhat more superficial conversations.

As for INFJs, they're characterized by a great creativity, and I think that the features offered by this forum (drawings, modding...) are ideal for this type of personalities. Besides, this type of personalities value personal relationships very much; together with their introversion, they constitute a perfect pack for them to try to open up more in a forum like this one.

I took the plunge and took the test. Apparently I'm an ENFP. These are the results:

This is some interesting stuff, and it honestly makes too much sense to me. I'm always writing a dozen different stories, menial tasks bore me to tears and I can't keep my opinions to myself. I don't really have friends as much as I have hundreds of acquaintances that I casually talked to in the halls or on a walk. Total strangers feel like they've known me forever and they can tell me all their problems or deepest traumas. Kids feel like they can talk to me because I'm not some boring adult and they think I'm cool, which is the best thing you could ever say to me.

The list of famous ENFP's were a buncha comedians and actors, vaudeville performers...The list was a bit too long for me to post it. I guess I could list a few...Buster Keaton, (I've watched Steamboat Bill) Dr. Suess, Robin Williams, Will Smith...Dave Thomas, owner of Wendy's hamburger chain...

I'm not sure why Fidel Castro of all people was listed as ENFP, but it makes the whole Spy vs Spy thing funny.

Sinbad was also on this list but I wasn't sure if they meant Sinbad the stand up comedian or Sinbad the sailor. Sinbad the sailor's the only one I knew so I'll just go with that...

Though Ariel was a nice surprise on the list considering how much I relied on her assistance in Kingdom Hearts and Re:Chain Of Memories.

(There was actually a ton of Disney people and characters on there. Including Walt Disney. And Mickey Mouse. AND SORA. Heck, I could just say "every Disney character!" Cause I couldn't go a single page without finding one.)

Some other favorites were Aang, Po, King Julian, Syndrome...It just seemed to be quite the eccentric list!

Funny that ENTJ's and ENFP's (mine and Cosmic's personalities) get along and work together very well. Because of course they do.

I wasn't sure whether to laugh or feel bad for myself because the webpage seems to make this personality sound like a total jerkass who doesn't care about emotions, only really focusing on their ability to command and control with their logic and knowhow.
I'll just call it main character syndrome, since that's basically what they make this one out to be, the leader that knows all.

...Unfortunately, they're not too far off the mark. As of recent I've been playing games that require playing the leader to others so to speak, or ones that use logic and on the spot learning to take care of things, sometimes both (Pokémon Colosseum, Persona 1, Chaos Legion, Spy vs. Spy come to mind). Persona 1 in particular had many parallels to my own past experiences and not in a good way, enough so to cause a panic attack when the wounds ran too deep. This does have some relevance though, as it still fits with having to play a leader tasked with ordering his party effectively. Colosseum and Chaos Legion also have me controlling my units to fight with. The logic side is most prominent for Spy vs. Spy, since you obviously don't have anyone to command or use but yourself and your wit.

As for fictional characters I wound up with quite a lot interesting ones, some bad but some good. Some of the more notable ones:
Light Yagami, Yami Yugi, Dio Brando, Eric Cartman, Stewie Griffin, Peppa Pig, William/Purple Guy, Plankton, Skipper, Mike Wazowski, Woody, Marie (Aristocats, funnily enough I have a shirt I've never worn with them on it), Edna Mode, Princess Leia, Sokka, Blossom.

Frankly given the cold and logical planning nature of said personality, it really wouldn't surprise me if White Spy fits the bill as well.

Those are mostly stereotypes because ENTJs can be sweet and nice people.
For me when it comes to leadership it depends, I don't really care about leading a group of people if things are going as planned but when that is not the case or I find myself in a comfortable situation I always find myself leading, no matter what I do

About the fictional characters I did not know that Sokka is ENTJ, I only remember Azula being one
I also went to see the MBTI of Zelda characters and found out that Ganondorf is ENTJ too, he's also my favourite character from the Zelda series... should I start worrying?

I believe your theory lines up. The fact these people are both introverted and creative is where this comes in. Rayman has never been consistent, it all comes down to people's own interpretation as to what his world is supposed to be.

It's also worth noting that INFJ, INTJ, and INTP are supposed to be the most introverted people, and they spend a lot of time in their heads while not exactly being the center of attention. Their interests tend to also be more obscure than what the majority of people have, and I guess the majority would just want what's "in" right now.

ISFJ would be the most extraverted introvert also, while ENTP is ironically the most introverted extravert. This is also why I found typing myself so confusing.

I guess technically, an ESFx would be seen as fitting into the "social norm" , which is why they're common types overall. They're what people are basically told to behave like by parents, while the intuitive types are seen as "weird" for not being interested in the certain things, especially the IN types for being "different". Most people who were picked on in school were probably INxx, because people like to bully others if they seem "different" from the majority of people.

As for the above about ESFx, an ESFP would he an "enjoy the moment" person, while an ESFJ would be more likely to look after everyone and make sure everything is in order. ExTJ are stereotyped to be bossy people, as Itz has even mentioned above (they like things being in order for a clear goal), and ExTP are usually quick thinkers, the ones to always have a quick comeback to an insult etc.

I think society expects people to be extraverted ny default, same with the majority being sensory types. These days though, I think intuitive people are becoming more common, due to the fact people are so heavily reliant on technology and growing up differently than in the past. People can work online anyway these days and don't need to be as social either way, so the "norm" will essentially shift at some point.

It's also worth noting that intuitive people are often classed as being more intelligent, however, I would always take that with a grain of salt. There are many different forms of intelligence, many of which aren't measured in the way the IQ test is. There's emotional intelligence, and there's street smarts. I for example would most likely completely lack the emotional intelligence and street smarts, so it's always a trade off and nobody is truly superior due to their type. Sensors are also more common as mentioned, so there's a lower percentage of "gifted" ones by default. This of course doesn't mean a sensor can't be smarter than an intuitive type, I mean look at Patrick Star, an INTP who is actually quite dense to put it lightly.

I guess you're right when you talk about the obscure interests. In the end, Rayman isn't a common interest compared to other franchises, so normally you won't see a casual player (FIFA, Call of Duty, Fortnite...) interested in Rayman. I'd also like to highlight that this analysis, with its different theories on the matter, is probably what people should always do when they see a poll on the Internet. It's very common to see political surveys where the most extreme political parties are always the most voted ones, and people are still amazed when, in the end, that doesn't represent the reality.

I believe sensory types are a bit more valued than intuitive types. Basically our society wants everything quickly, they want an immediate response, and these characteristics fit much better to sensing types. Of course, it doesn't have to be all about extremes, because you also have to think about the future.

And of course, being better at Maths (classic IQ test) doesn't mean you're better than others. Actually, emotional intelligence is extremely important nowadays and, when you apply for a job, I'd say human resources are mostly analyzing this aspect. Is it fair? Well, that's another debate

Yeah exactly, the majority of people are playing what's in now and would be less interested in the likes of Rayman. Of course, that doesn't mean ESxP can't possibly like Rayman, it just seems to be far less likely amongst extraverted people and sensors if the poll results are anything to go by.

Also yeah, I believe that when you're applying for a job, the personality tests they make you do are usually to check if you're good with other people. I can't imagine someone answering that they would get angry at the customer is going to get the job.

EDIT: Also, that intuitive thing goes way back to where people bully others for being a "nerd", as so often seen in old shows including The Simpsons. People who were good with technology were always referred to as nerds and it was supposed to be an insult. These days the term "computer nerd" isn't even seen as an insult. It's also more common for both introverted and intuitive people to be interested in things like that, including programming. A lot of people just say they wouldn't have the patience for it lol. Again, an xSxx can be a programmer too, but it's literally stereotyped that INTP are computer nerds, and ironically I'm getting into programming as a profession.

I just wanted to mention that I find the stereotypes that reside within each type a little funny. For example, there's stereotype that INTPs (my type) don't shower, and it's funny because I always talked about how things were "smelly".

Interesting. I still always get either INTP or ISFJ on these tests, and it was hard to tell which I am because I tend to have traits of both. We still lean towards INTP for various reasons,but both of those are likely to have more similarities than one would think.
