When it runs in Dosbox, yeah, sure it is. On real hardware, it's anything but sandboxed, with zero memory protection, but I presume nobody's running it that way

Then I wonder why no one has made a PC/DOS TAS yet.
Interesting trick at 4:56, it looks like Rayman can step on the stone for a short period of time after getting hit by it, and jump quickly to punch the totem avoiding waiting for Mr Stone's other attacks.
New runs have just been validated on speedrun.com!

The biggest difference is by far Raymans Physics, usually, whenever Rayman is supposed to roll off of any kind of platform/event he will not do a rolling animation, instead he will fall down normal and lose speed in that process, this can sometimes catch you by surprise and you will die.
Eespecially in late game where you have the running ability :p.
Differences and tips for the following levels:
Swamps 3: you will always have a bad plum so be prepared for that.
Moskitos Nest 2: The Plum does not hang on the tree, its behind the endsign.
Bongo Hills 1: The 1st Cage is kind of tricky with the slippery physics...
Bongo Hills 5: Avoid the cloudride to the cage, you can jump over and damage off of the spike to get a hang on the platform.
Hard Rocks 2: After getting the 2nd cage and damageboosting, hang and drop down on the ledge.
MSP: Flood Screen you can avoid 3 tings to make 99 ting strat easier.
Boss Fight: You cant do the last hit on Mr Stone, you have to go for Explosion Strat.
Moskitos Nest Revisit: After death abuse, get up the tree, spawn the cage and hang drop down the tree to get the cage, dont run off or you will revisit another time.
Anguish Revisit: After getting the Cage, the Livingstone will walk to the right instead of left.
PPW Revisit: There is no life on this Stage for you.
EP: Guaranteed 50/50.
PP1: The bouncy pens on the right are way further back, if you are on 1 health instead of dropping down to the cage you have to jump into the wall to keep your rolling animation to avoid dying.
Avoid dying in Caves since death loads seem to take 6s...
EAJ 2: On the Lavaball chase there is a crevice, you cant run over it, you have to jump over.

Probably because there aren't many tools available for DOS, as opposed to all the stuff developed for emulators?
