WIP: Rayman Flash Shorts (Recruting Voice Actors!)

By model sheet you mean that artwork that depicts a character's different poses and looks and such? That'd be great, yes. Also, if you could also send me the lines that the Musician's text is in context with, that would help - or is he just by himself in a short scene?

Considering it's just a short, there aren't really any scenes - so I'll be happy to send you the context, although it should become pretty straight forward from the lines on their own

May I suggest something? In the preview pic on the first post you have Rayman jumping up off a cloud. Why not make the cloud have eyes and give it a few lines? Something like: "Argh! What the hell do you think you're doing!?!" And then you could have Rayman jump in surprise or something. I don't know, just a suggestion.

While that has nothing to do with the short in the preview pic and wouldn't really fit, something along those lines would make a pretty amusing short of it's own. I might have to do something like that now, considering the amount of platforms and background objects with eyes in Rayman 1

Haha I enjoyed recording the lines. Sadly, I only have two, but I wouldn't ask for more - that'd be rude. ... ish.

I hope you'll like them! I have about three different versions for both lines, so you can pick whichever one you like best. And if it isn't good enough, you could always ask for a different approach/accent. I love (voice) acting.

Oh thanks! I love receiving a choice of takes, because that way I can pick the one which fits the animation the best. Rayfan always does it too, and I have to say - it's extremely helpful

Alright. I was wondering whether to do it or not, since it can also be received as a "oh I'm too lazy to pick my own favourite so you do it". You'll have the lines tomorrow.

Assuming you mean the Musician's child (the words musician and magician are so easy to muddle up on a slip, even in non-Rayman context ), I've actually already completed the animation with him in months ago. Sorry
If I ever need any more voices in the future, I'll remember that you were willing .

When do you think you'll be finished, out of mild curiosity?

Its been a combination of insane school work, other projects (a non-Rayman related fan comic that's going I've been working on for the large part of the year) and my own laziness. There is one piece of animation for the current short complete that I am really pleased with, and I have all voice acting, music and sound effects together. The next step is to create the backgrounds, which I'm thinking of doing this weekend

While I'm no longer intending to submit these to Randimation, I am intending to release these as standalone shorts and still have all the files . Unfortunately with University I'm having to go for a one project at a time approach so I don't let hobbies take over important degree work?

Would you lot prefer it if i released each of the shorts I made upon their completion, or if I waited until they were all complete and make them a compilation?
