I used Windows XP Professional for 4 years and 8 months.
When I did the upgrade for XP I was using Windows ME for 7 years .

Oh well. Didn't like ME at all; still I never used it enough to claim it was unusable or something. Although reportedly it had no advantages to good old 98SE.

Did you need any additional HDCP remover thingies?

HDCP what?
My bf's definitely got his own PVR now (costed him £70-80), I got hesitant to answer before because that first auction was a mess, but thankfully he found another auction that was less messy. While the machine itself is mostly for Xbox 360/PS3/Wii footage, with a bit of tinkering he's been looking into recording footage from older consoles, we'll see.

£70-80 for a Hauppage that is usually around £110?
So you saved about £30, that is pretty good.

At least you saved a generous amount of money.

I've heard of Hauppage and considered getting one but then I learned about Elgato Gamecapture HD. It must get its power from the PC so I can only connect it when I wanna record something, but it supports 1080p and it uses very few cables. I made this screenshot with it for the wiki. https://raymanpc.com/wiki/script-en/ima ... eadPS3.jpg
I think it cost me about €150,- but it's really bang for buck if you consider the 1080p support and how easy it is to set up. I'm very happy with it.

For my case a HD recorder would only make sense to record Wii U and PS3 footage... What about the older consoles? (PS2 and Wii)

The Elgato one gets software updates every so often. Once it only used to support up to 1080i. Who knows if it gets Wii U support...Actually, scrap that part. It seems it already does support Wii U.
I never owned consoles like PS2 or Wii but I do know that since there's Rayman 1 and 2 available to buy for PS3 via the store, recording those should work. My other gamecap card, a Roxio Gamecap, works for Wii I believe. And I've seen youtube tutorials on how to make it work for PS2.

I continued the R3HH remasterization, and its missing the last part of the Summit Beyond the Clouds to record before uploading the video on YouTube. It might delay a little thanks to the infamous Green Gem that is really hard to grab.
EDIT: Finished to record the Summit Beyond the Clouds! I'll upload the video in the next hours.
EDIT2: Finally, after 4 months of hiatus, I've continued the R3HH remasterized walkthrough: adapted to R3HD players that want to unlock all the trophies/achievements. Here's the Summit Beyond the Clouds:

I remember when I was in the Rayman 3 Hd leaderboards for a while.
I'm remastering my score on the pc version of R3 (my current score is awful) so these walkthroughs, could be of great assistance, thanks Haruka!

You're welcome! It isn't as good as MandM's of course, but lets consider that my walkthrough is a "simplified version".

I've seen few of MandM's combo videos, my god he's just completely insane, really does a great job at it.

Fear the player from LEGOLAND!
EDIT: I've finished to record the Hoodlum Headquarters. The video will be uploaded tomorrow.
Its only missing to record the Tower of the Leptys and I'm done with the R3HH remasterized walkthrough. I don't know what I'm going to record next: Rayman By His Fans or remastering the PS1's R2TGE.

Rayman by his fans! I would like to see if it was only me who sucked with that game or it's really hard.

Thanks!
I agree, part 1 is chaotic for combos, especially in the suspended crates area. I did what I could at least.

Thanks Danone!
In my original walkthrough I was a 470000 player, but now I am a 560000 player.
Before recording the TTOTL I need a small break. Part 1 and Part 2 are the longest phases and yet the most chaotic ones for combos, especially in part 1, so I need to recover energies and feeling inspired. I want to finish the remastered gameplay in big before moving to the next gameplay. It will be either Rayman By His Fans, or the remasterization of PS1 R2TGE, but it will be more likely the first option because its more obscure and one of the oldest games of Rayman.

I've recently started to do a maximum score walkthrough of Rayman Origins on xbox 360. It's recorded with a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, so it is HD, but don't expect perfect quality, howewer it is acceptable. So here is the youtube playlist of the walkthrough, which - i hope - will be done in 1 or 2 months.
