Rayman 3 destroyed Globox for me... that guy will be the end of me some time in the future.

Barbara is definitely my least favourite character, since she's human.

Do enemies count? The caterpillars in Rayman 2/3 GBA make me cringe whenever they make any sort of noise.
If not, I'd have to say Barbara- she just feels out of place (imo), which may explain why I never really cared for her.

I actually agree with Imco to some extent. I've never been very interested in human characters, and to be honest I really don't like how they've been injected into the Rayman universe. And now I feel like half of Barbara's popularity is simply because so many people just prefer human characters (Hence why so many fandoms tend to 'humanise' every character then use the human version in place of the real ones, ugh).

Ahh, this takes me back to the time when Humch booned anyone calling Barbara a Viking.

I can accept Barbara as a human because, unless my poor grasp on Legends' lore is wrong, it doesn't really take place in the Glade.

It's stated to take place 100 years in the future, some levels callback Origins elements in such a manner that it seems they're future incarnations of Origin's locations.

100 years of chaos is probably enough for humanoid creatures to evolve into actual humans in what is supposed to be a dream world.

Well, temporal anomalies are good enough for me, as long as I'm not supposed to believe that they existed during the Rayman 1-3 era.

Wait, I get that Origins is the prequelest of the prequels, but what position in the timeline has Legends in regard to R1, 2 and 3 (but mostly 2, it's the presence of unshaved Polokus that bums me out)

Nope, Origins is actually a sequel, they play out in order.

Really? That kinda defeats the purpose of having "Origins" in the title. Might as well call it Rayman Banana Milkshake.

It was ORIGIN-ally supposed to be an origin story, hence the name.

Wait a sec, if you thought Origins was a prequel, who did you think the baddie was?

I actually had no clue. I came to the conclusion that Ubisoft is not consistent enough to care about anachronisms, since they aren't consistent enough to release a AAA game without game-crippling bugs anyway. I had also been conforted in this thinking when I collected 1000 yellow lums in one level. "Well the heart of the world took a hell of a beating didn't it?" was my first thought.

I thought the presence of hairy Polokus indicated that Origins (and Legends) took place before the time he retired from the universe, and I kinda wanted to see a game explained just how bad he fucked up to justify his retirement. But if Origins is a sequel, that means he spent the entirety of R3 (and RR) jacking off in a undisclosed corner of the world (instead of being god, which he kinda is) before coming back for shits and giggles and mostly naps.

So, sequel or prequel, it still doesn't make a whole lot of sense to me.

I don't mind a lot about Barbara but something I would like it more clear to me is if the levels of RL really pass in Glade locations or alternated dimensions. I find pretty confusing.
