Re: Globox himself
The English localization of Origins, in turn, seemed to take that R3 mistake and run with it, because they had The Bubble Dreamer call Globox "biggest glute in the Glade!".
In the original French, this is just a comment about Globox's fat ass, and not his species. However, the wording in English (in my opinion) clearly wants you to think Globox's species is "glute". I would have written something like "The guy with the biggest ass in town!" if I'd wanted to convey the meaning of the original, not "Biggest glute in the Glade!" which sounds like he is describing Globox directly.
With all this being said, does this indicate that Globox's species name is, in fact, "glute", but only in the English games, and even then only due to a mistake?

Re: Globox himself
I think this is basically the de facto truth at this point. In which case the word "Glute" is basically just a false friend, because it's used in two languages but with completely different meanings (bird versus Globox). Maybe I can live with that...Sabertooth wrote: Fri Nov 29, 2024 2:43 am With all this being said, does this indicate that Globox's species name is, in fact, "glute", but only in the English games, and even then only due to a mistake?

Re: Globox himself
Globox being a glute could be attributed to yet another on e of Polokus’s dreams of the Rayman series!

Re: Globox himself
I just watched Tex Avery's cartoon 'The Fowl Ball' and found that the frog characters in the cartoon looks a lot like Globox.

What are you all talking about, this is the real Globox here. He's even voiced by Sid the Sloth's voice actor, John Leguizamo.
